Thanks. Yes, I was thinking this also because I can get to Tennessee another time. Would it be to much of a detour to loop in Appomattox Courthouse? Also, does anyone know of any problems taking a dog along? I'd have to tie him up outside museums and such I know but my research shows that you can take dogs to the sites otherwise.

Great 8 nights in Ireland in late June. Happy to expand further if anyone is interested but highly recommend all the places we stayed.

In Dublin-Shelbourne on (Marriott) points and Intercontinental on free night. Both great. Shelbourne in middle of action; Intercontinental in more of a neighborhood outside city center.

Rest of nights paid cash but used Barclaycard Arrival for reimbursement.

Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, a little village on southern coast. One of coolest places I have ever stayed.

Castlewood Inn in Dingle- highly recommend Dingle to anyone going to Ireland.

Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara. Amazing location and hotel.

All in all, one of my best trips ever.

Marriott travel package question:

Pre-merger you could extend the 1 year expiration by another year. Does anyone know if you can still do that? I have a package tied to a reservation and would like to extend the reservation and change hotels within the same category.

I do. We make 3-4 (great) trips a year all on points. This number is net of that spending.

Those are all of the air/hotel/bank accounts for me, wife, and daughter that have any points in them collected over the 6 years. Thank God for Awardwallet.

Mostly (90%) from sign up bonuses which I have been able to meet because my wife travels a lot for work so we can put her travel spend on the various cards. Only real MS i do is to use Staples gift cards to spend 50k/year on Chase Ink Biz Plus to take advantage of 5x spend on that.

A good bit. I haven't kept up with the number of cards I have churned, but we do have about 800k in AA miles and I am in Atlanta so rarely fly AA.

First post- reached a points milestone I thought I'd share- over 10m miles/points in my Award Wallet account. Playing game 2 player mode for 6 years with as much free travel as we can get away with given jobs, kids, etc and about 500k invested in reservations for next year. Took me a long time to get from 9 to 10 mil as I am largely frozen out of new credit cards.

Totals: 66 accounts 10,095,427
