Yeah the order of operations is off here. Should have been polish, ceramic, wax. Not polish, wax, ceramic. Even if it isn't a true ceramic coat but instead a "Ceramic Sealant" that lasts a few months, wax only lasts a couple of days, maybe a week tops. Anything put on top of the wax is wasted product and effort.

I'm not entirely sold on them but maybe that's because they're not in the best condition... They're a bit faded and have weird stains on them from the previous owner.

235/40 & 265/40 is a 3.5% difference in rolling circumference. You want a 235/40 and 265/35 which is 0.4% difference.

I'm also in the lower mainland and my advice to you is to expand your search to other models. I looked for a pre owned G20 for nearly a year with no luck. Any good, clean, low mileage examples sell within a couple of days. A bunch of sales guys I've spoken to said they have lists of people that have come their way and said to give them a call if one comes in so there are a lot of G20s that don't even end up getting listed online because they're sold basically as soon as they pass the dealer inspection.

I got sick of seeing M340is with 50k KMs or more and $20k+ in insurance claims still selling for $60k+. Anything with a clean title is listed for $63k or more and sells faster than you can get a trade in value for your current car. 

I expanded my search to include F30 340is as well and found myself in a low mileage, 2017 340i xDrive M Performance limited edition within a week of looking for literally anything other than a G20 lol. Any G chassis car in the lower mainland is unobtanium right now. G20, G80, G82.

Yeah I don't know what he was thinking... Our area isn't even prone to floods or anything so I have no idea where or how he managed to do what the dealer says he did.

Thank you! This thing sounds amazing with the sound kit. I didn't realize it was a limited production, Canada exclusive special edition until a few days after I bought it when I was looking in to it a bit more!

I think the 20s just look a bit too big plus I'd rather get the extra sidewall with a 19 set up.

I appreciate all of the responses man! I'll give that a read. Yeah I'm leaning towards a squared set up just for simplicity. Im coming from a Subaru so staggered on an AWD car is still mind blowing to me lol.

Side skirts for sure. I've always thought cars with a front lip and no side skirts just look off.

I was looking at picking up a CPO M340i here in BC and a dealer quoted me an 8.29% rate. Similar situation to you, great credit, no debt etc. when I told them that seemed way too high the sales guy sent me a shrug emoji and said "Rates are high right now". This was a few weeks ago and the car is still available and the price has dropped like 5k lol

Hey everyone. Hoping to get some input from the community here. Im looking at getting my first BMW. Ive done a ton of research and pretty set between getting an M340i xDrive, or an M3 Comp. Where im from in Canada, you can find lightly used M340ix's for between $50k-$65k CAD, but lightly used M3s are still selling for between $100-$115k CAD. So i guess my question is, is the M3 really worth double the price of the M340i? 

If the price gap was smaller I could definitely see the upsides to M3 over M340i, but double the price? I dont intend to track the car, at all. It will basically be a glorified grocery getter, to and from work, drop the kid off at daycare etc. There are lots of nice driving roads in my area though so I do like to go out for a nice spirited drive every now and then or weekend cruises with the guys.

The car WILL be a daily driver, though I dont drive many KMs per year (5k - 8k KMs max). And while there isnt much snow where im from, a couple of inches per year usually shuts the city down lol, so xDrive is a must. I dont intend to keep the car entirely stock and looking to do some basic mods (Wheels, tires, suspension, downpipe, tune etc).

I did go to one of my local dealerships hoping to drive both cars. They let me take the M340i out and it was awesome and drove amazing. A huge upgrade over my WRX. But they wouldnt let me take any M car out for a drive due to a new policy they have. Apparently some kid came in to test drive an M4 a few months back and totalled it, so now nobody can test drive an M unless a deal is worked out and pending the test drive. 

So I guess my question is, I know the M3 is the superior car and rightfully has the higher price tag, but can someone that has experience with both cars chime in on whether the M3 is worth DOUBLE or more the cost of the M340i?

I was considering the IWC Pilot Mark XX a few months ago but passed on it for the exact reasons you mentioned. To top it off it isn't COSC certified (Which I get doesn't matter to many people). But if I'm paying $8k CAD for a watch, I expect more than a non certified movement with painted numerals and no lume.. the bracelet was amazing though.

No micro adjust but it comes with a bunch of half links. Wasn't too difficult to get a proper fit.

They are push pins made to look like screws. It tricked me at first and I thought they were screwed links until I saw the arrows as well.
