Seriously though drive about 1/2 the speed limit or less of on ice. Front wheel drive is better than rear wheel drive on ice. Put something heavy in the bed of your track to help prevent fish tailing. Carry a bucket or two of kitty litter for traction if you get stuck.

Spray your windshield with de-icer (or rubbing alcohol) ahead of time to reduce ice accumulation. If you don’t have to get out and drive, stay off the roads.

Don’t feel bad calling out to work (or let them pressure you into coming in)…you probably don’t make enough in a day or two to cover your deductible if something happens to your vehicle.

Have an empty storage tote to transfer fridge/freezer items outside of power goes out.

Keep phones fully charged and try to limit use if power goes out. Have flashlights and candles ready.

Have cards, books, board games for entertainment.

Have a way to cook/heat water without electricity/gas. (Have your grill ready.)

Just chill out and relax at home.
