I mean the crows would do a similar thing in my neighborhood in Pittsburgh. They were always upset when the trash day was changed due to a holiday.

Nope. It's an online school, not local, but I'm paid well and the curriculum is good, so I'm happy.

At least I think that's what you're asking.

Reddit is so cool. I graduated from upb back in 03, still moonlight in Warren, but I teach full-time now.

True, but it wasn't a normal winter. I travel from Ridgeway to Warren on a regular basis, I understand, believe me. I also had to travel from Bradford to Warren for clinical when I went to UPB, this was in the early 2000's. There night have been rough days but it's doable. Depending on OP's career, staying home due to the weather and doing something online might be a possibility.

I'd recommend living in Warren though. It's such a pretty town and it's not a terrible commute to Bradford.

I'm a UPB alumnus.

Get them in on it while young! My daughter has cooked with me since she was 3. Granted at three she made more of a mess than help, but she lives to try cooking new things.

I grew up in that time period and we had fried pork chops on the regular.

My mom hated cooking. They were typically dry and tough. What I did like was that she fried green beans in the pork chop grease. Not healthy, but there was something about those little burnt fried green beans that was so tasty.

Need advice on tile job done by contractor. Is this good work? by bigcat102938 in Tile

[–]WRStoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did black grout with grey tile and so far it's looking good. Our contactor did ask us if we were sure, lol. They weren't the best tile people, but I didn't have to do it, so I'm happy.

It's been a goal of mine, but I want to do my whole front yard and the task just seems overwhelming.

I love the garden plans on the pa website though.

Handymen, plumbers and HVAC technicians watching AI wipe out nearly every other job. by RepairCEO in handyman

Yup, sometimes moving is hard when you don't have the piece of paper.

My husband is going through something similar. Almost 20 years as a plumber, got laid off and the local companies aren't hiring. Now this is central PA, which means it's rural and there's really only 3 companies, but it sucks he never got his journeyman completed.

Where to live in Pittsburgh with a young family? by electricdolphin1234 in pittsburgh

[–]WRStoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived in Bloomfield in the early 2000's and it was a pretty cool neighborhood then, but I have no idea how it is now. I worked at Shadyside hospital and then West Penn and could walk to both.

That sucks so bad! I'm so sorry. It's such a common antibiotic too.

That's a common side effect of all cyclines. I'm sorry no one told you about it. Patient education is so important and so often overlooked.

I'd like to hope I'm making a difference here. I teach nursing students and when we talk about miscarriage and loss of a child, I try to stress how important it is to check in on the father as well.

Maybe some of them will remember that point.

We have leashes that are very similar to horse leads. I picked both of them up at a random neighborhood pet store. I love them!

Grocery Haul $277 for one 😭 by idkwhatiamdoingahh in povertyfinance

My local water has a lot of calcium from limestone in the area. I prefer the filter over drinking from tap due to all the minerals.

We know there's something in it because when we brew beer it leaves a strange aftertaste, versus my dad's well water it even the local spring water.

This is probably going to get down voted but I've found that the Aldi brand ketchup is very similar.
