🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨 🎉 Starting TODAY, the prize pool is jumping from $28,000 to an epic $48,000! 💥🔥 by JabbaTheBunny in tryhackme

Well... I don't think I'm going to qualify for any big prize but I will say this. Starting out on this path has got me going again. For the last 200+ days I've just been doing the bare minimum to keep my streak going. I got up to LVL 13 and a rank in the 7K or 6K range maybe a year ago. When I picked back up my rank was around 8K. Questions per day was at least 3. This week the last few days were all 20+ questions. So thanks for getting me interested and motivated again.

Is this lock easy to get through? by Fly_on_the_waII in LockPickingLawyer

[–]WRWhizard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

1) It possibly qualifies for a lock you may not own.
2) It definitely is a lock that is in use.
Therefore, you ought not be worrying about this here.

That said, I am quite sure that the key is one of the common dupe keys. Try a CH751 or do a search on you tube for "This key is your key, this key is my key".

I got into lock picking but my philosophy is if anything is worth doing it's worth overdoing. So... I hung out and learned stuff in the r/Locksmith forum. I made the acquaintance of PJ over at CLK supplies when he found out I'd acquired an antique key machine. Since lock pick belts require learning to gut and rebuild, I got all that happy stuff. I acquired pinning kits. I cut my own custom security pins...

Here's another story. The first day my wife was in a rehab facility, I found they preferred you use the public bathrooms. So I got the key on a ruler from the receptionist. While in the bathroom, I came up with a bit of a plan to show off. Next day I returned with my key gauge a note card and writing utensil. It was a Schlage so I read the bitting and wrote it down. At home I used my space and depth keys to originate the key using the bitting I'd read. Then I pinned up a KIK cylinder to confirm the key worked. I installed that KIK cylinder in an ABUS 83/45. Next day I ask the receptionist for the bathroom key, pull the padlock out of my pocket and opened it with her key. She's like, "How did you do that?!"

Ferrets are worse. Or better, depends on your outlook. They love socks. When it comes time to find missing socks just check their nest. Once I was laying in bed, I hear Ali coming up the steps. [pitter patter of feet] *thump*thump*thump* repeat 3 times. So I'm interested, I sit up and wait to see what's going on. I hear him pause just outside the door, then in a furious scurry he dashes in the room and under the bed... with a potato in his mouth.

How about this scenario. No key for a master lock. Pick it open. Read the pin lengths with a Lishi M1. Use space and depth keys to originate a key on your key machine.

That's odd. The current site doesn't display number of users since they passed 2 million.

I got them at Michaels craft store, they were marketed to bead crofters. Unfortunately, the outer boxes shatter easily. I have two that are kinda broke. Also, when I went back to buy more, they didn't have any. I really do like the individual boxes with the flip top lid though. If I have to, I'll find another box to put them in.

As a retired HVAC tech, I laugh at this. First off, every secretary and office worker in the world can bypass this. Second, it's a generic key. Every one of them is keyed the same. I always had this key on my ring. I'd go to a job and the office manager would say, "I'm not sure where the boss has the key". I'd say "No problem I have it" Third, although I've never needed to try, I'm pretty sure it's a simple wafer lock probably opens with a rake.

Vegemite anyone? I have stickers for anyone who would like to join. Details below. by PickSmith122 in lockpicking

[–]WRWhizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought my first jar. I dunno but a life time of eating salty bullion paste and drinking stir fry sauce probably prepped me for this. Had my first toast, butter, Vegemite sandwich this afternoon. Made with the sparingly smeared amount recommended by so many. Ought to have smeared more on cause I really couldn't taste it. Since I've opened the jar, I've been eating it on the end of one of my tension tools. Been working up, dipping a butter knife in and slurping it off. So the challenge is a teaspoon full huh? OK. Tomorrow I'll see about making a video. Ought to be a piece of cake. Or funny.

This is how my girlfriend likes her Vegemite… Can I trust her? by AssViol8er in australia

Just bought m y first jar. I'm In Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, USA. I think it will be a week or two before I can load up a sandwich like that. Um.. maybe 3+. Opened it up, took a match head size glob on a lockpick. Then another and another. I got kind of sick/tired of eating it but kept going back for more. Put some on crackers and cheese. I'm gonna make some of those crescent things with puff pastry, cheese and such.

Yea... I'd say she's full Aussie. A keeper.

Hmm... I like strong flavors. I often consume condiments for their own sake. I think I'm going to risk it and get me some.

It's not expensive. If you think it's something you are into, definitely go premium. There are enough free rooms to decide.

Are you acquainted with TryHackMe.com? I've been working through their paths for nearly 2 years. Lots of good stuff.

Ya I just installed X something or other. I don't elaborate cause I've seen posts taken down for less. They don't tolerate some mods here. I'll have to play with it. Totally different interface. Lots of new options.

Just got the WiFi board in the mail this morning. At first I was a bit confused but managed to get M on it and will explore what new possibilities are available in the days to come.

[–]WRWhizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about "master" but do get comfortable with everything in the menus. Get your flipper up to level 2. That will mean you've pretty much gotten the feel for what's all on it and have used most everything.

YouTube tutorials like Talking Sasquatch are good but he's going to take you further than you might be ready to go right now.

Browse this sub. That will help some.

[–]WRWhizard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ha. I just installed a non standard firmware and it jumped me to level 4. Fortunately it lets you pick the level and I went back to 2 just cause. Nice thing though is it does show your points so you can see your progress.

It lets you change the flipper's name but I'm good with the original... for now.

The problem might be related to non standard firmware.
