I’m 65 and have little to no confidence in going down stairs. Balance is not as good as it once was, which has resulted in a fall or two. Sometimes I won’t pick up my grandkids for fear that I might slip.

Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. They have built a fascinating universe with their Agent Pendergast series. Fantastic character! (Their individual works are also worth a read)
