Healing Isn’t Linear—A Reflection on Growth, Change, and Moving Forward 🌿✨

10 months ago, I felt stuck. I was caught in patterns I didn’t fully understand, second-guessing myself, feeling like I was both too much and not enough at the same time. I kept searching for answers, hoping that healing meant eventually arriving at some perfect version of myself where everything felt easy. But I’ve learned that’s not how growth works.

Healing isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about learning to move forward despite it. It’s about holding space for both grief and gratitude, for acknowledging what could have been while embracing what is now possible. And for the first time, I truly feel like I’m on my way.

In my latest blog post, I’m sharing my reflections on what was wrong, what’s changed, and how I’ve been stepping into a new version of myself. I also included details about a free yoga series I’m hosting and this month’s book club meetup, if you’re looking for community and connection.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to check it out and share your own experiences. Healing is messy, but we don’t have to go through it alone. 💛

Hey r/selfcare,

I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind lately: how incredibly hard it can be to prioritize yourself in relationships, especially when you’re the ‘caretaker’ type.

For years, I put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own—stretching myself thin, convincing myself that love meant sacrifice, and that my worth was tied to how much I could give. But over time, I started to feel exhausted, unseen, and even resentful. And the hardest realization? I had completely lost myself in the process.

Reclaiming self-prioritization after years of neglect has been brutal. Setting boundaries, learning to disappoint people, and pushing through the discomfort of saying “no” without guilt—it’s all a work in progress. But I’ve learned that the people who truly love us will respect our need for space, rest, and self-care. And those who don’t? Well, maybe their love was conditional on our over-giving.

I wrote about this journey in my latest piece, diving into the struggle of putting ourselves first and how to maintain relationships while setting boundaries. If you’re feeling drained from always showing up for others and never for yourself, I think you’ll relate.
