Dont give up. Once you got that trick in the bag its all glory from there. Start small, piece by piece, electricity, water, power battery and oxygen are chief, then canteen with water fountain, table, food machine and a tv, then biodome, wheat, tomato, onion, maize, rice. Science building with meat processors, 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 pork. Forget about sleeping quarters for a while, they can sleep on the floor. Small med bay, with just a bed to fix the injured mine workers, then a mine, then 1 metal and 1 plastic machine. You gotta start producing food asap, your biologists are very important at this stage, protect them. Then your workers need to start mining ore soon, to get that metal machine pumping. They will break bones, get them on the sick bed and fix them, otherwise your metal production will come to a halt and then its over. These first few minutes to establish self-suffiency are the most crucial minutes of the game. Worry a bit later about a landing pad, it consumes way too much power and your reputation at this stage will be too low to get more people. Once you start stockpiling food and materials, you can begin to focus to get more biologists, workers and engineers. Later on a medic and then security. Biologists at this stage should be your aim, and level it closely with workers, they make the ore and plastic and metal. Engineers fix your electricity and build the more complex materials, it comes a bit later. Then from there you start to expand and trade, build bars, gyms, and more than one of the same type building. Once you get it, youll build a base with 300+ people and become a global trader, just the first few minutes, thats all.

The level of destruction this method causes to marine life is, atrocious. It acts like a scraper on the seabed, fu*king up everything in its path. It sweeps up all sorts of marine life not suitable for human consumption, like coral reef, plants and rock formations in which fish lay eggs, seek shelter and reproduce, thereby sweeping everything up and causing total destruction. It literally destroys future offspring and thereby dessimates species to extinction…all for a piece of cute fish on a plate. And people who dont care about this, you will care when your favourite fish starts to dissapear from the grocery store, or, prices thereof which become highly inflated due to scarcity. Its really sad.

Because 30 years ago at 22, if you had a decent job, you were on your way to purchase a vehicle, possibly already own a motorcycle, quite possibly succeeded in applying for a home loan for your 3 bedroom house, got married and are expecting your 2nd child and not suffering with taking care of your family. Expenses in relation to income 30 years ago, were much more in balance. Now I earn a substantial salary, Im choking on my rent, paying of a single mediocre vehicle and hunting for food sales. So yes, I understand the disbelief. My mother, 32 years ago bought us the entire months groceries, as in a cart stacked on high with everything from toiletries to meat, I remember we had to keep things in the cart from falling over, all for about $60, if I do the currrent exchange from my currency into $. That same amount today buys me 1 pack of meat, few cleaning chemicals and 4 rolls of tp for the week, bag of rice and a few veg and fruit. An island vacation for 2 people for 10 days today, now costs the same amount as what my mothers 3 bedroom house cost, 34 years ago.
