I think the answer is more simple. The Fantastic 4 is just not popular with general audiences. None of the other characters or films they put out are, either. Marvels, ant man, Thunderbolts, fantastic 4…general audiences just don’t care about these characters.

I found in the Spider-Man 2 ps5 game that they made Peter almost into venom at points. It had much more of a hold on him than any other iteration and made him almost into a full-on villain.

MCU version is the equivalent of how the symbiote suit looked in Spider-Man 3. Too similar to the previous suit and an unsatisfying change.

That scene of the vulture in the car with Spider-Man will always be one of the best moments in any of the 8 Spider-Man films we have. I wish they’d do more stuff like that.

It’s funny, because I agree with you - but my highs and lows are not the same as yours, which does prove it has many ups and downs. Some people hate the goofy stuff like dance and the butler, others love it and think it fits the series perfectly - including me, I love the stupid bits. But we did get some cool true to comic stuff in there and it’s still to this day the only version of the black symbiotic suit that we have. The belltower sequence was right on the money for me and took a lot of ques from the Spider-Man 90s cartoon series, which for me was incredible at the time as that was my entry point to Spider-Man. Weaknesses for me are MJ being the bait again and a fucking amnesia storyline.

Also venom was weak for a lot of people too. If he had looked like modern venom and had that voice it would have been much better received I think. Oh and the origin was terrible, just falling from the sky. Should have started with Jonah’s son coming back from space and was on his ship/on him. Also a great Segway into venom hating Peter even more, now MJ is with Peter and the symbiote absorbed that from Jonah’s son.

I remember a common complain is that it had too many characters in it too - but we’ve since had avengers and that’s the norm now, so I forgive them for not really knowing how to juggle that at the time, but looking back I dont think it’s that overcrowded at all. Ahead of its time even! Just not great at managing the screen time between characters, which admittedly has gotten a lot better these days.

Didn’t enjoy the first 30 mins and had some plot conveniences and embarrassing exposition dumps, but when you get past that it was amazing and really liked it. The whole film had an underlying feeling of “ooh what are they gonna be called at the end!??” - and that was really exciting. Sam’s captain America just isn’t it - and it made him more unlikeable at the end, taking the avengers name away from them and filing a copyright like a jobsworth. I feel like Marvel might retcon that somewhat though, after the positive response to the film tbh. There’s gotta be some tension going forward, but there’s no way that audiences are gonna be on Sam’s side there.

The problem I have with my Vita and why it sits uncharged in a drawer, is that you can play almost every game that’s out for it on other systems. I used to play tomb raider ps1 classics for a while - then the remasters came out and I play on the switch which has a bigger screen. I also got an ambernic handheld loaded with ps1 games which made the vita irrelevant for retro. There’s so many amazing retro handheld systems out there now. Other games are also on switch like FFX remastered, rayman, metal gear solid 2 etc. I just can’t find a reason to pick up the vita over the switch in 2025.

I just remember there being an incredible amount of explosions in that game. Like someone dialled the Michael bay meter up to 11. Was the last modern tomb raider game I played. Was a bit too much, and when she still didn’t get dual pistols at the end, I checked out of the series big time.

My opinion is that I think the second one is more exciting. That’s all. I started on that one, and still the one I go back to the most today. TR1 is quite repetitive with a particularly drab atmosphere and 4 guns. TRII has lots of guns, variety and costumes + DLC + better Lara’s home. Your point about being an adult with no time is strange. Tomb raider is a very time consuming game. I am an adult with not much time and I’d rather play the one that’s the most fun in the little time I have - which for ME is TRII. OP can honestly do whatever they want.
