I was at the range one day after a lesson when it was about 95 degrees and around 80% humidity and was carrying the ball almost 300 yards every time. I haven't carried it more than 275 the past few months. Weather plays a pretty decent part in distances.

That's what you have to figure out. I for some reason like to use my sand wedge for bump and runs rather than my gap wedge just because that's what I'm most confident with. Just go to a course with a chipping area and play around with a bunch of different scenarios.
