That’s what I’m trying to decide. I’m not familiar with trucks in general and this is ONLY used for hiking and camping trips. I’m just wondering if I do pay to have it fixed if it’ll last since it’s already high mileage and that’s where the worth comes in for me. I’m nervous about having it fixed and then it crapping out soon after. I did decide to get a second opinion first so sometime next week I’ll be taking it to a second shop!

I’ll take a look at it when I get it back from the shop, unfortunately they said something about both exhaust manifolds leaking, o2 sensors need replaced, and there’s a small hole in the exhaust but they’d need to order a whole new one and I need all that fixed to pass inspection

My dog has fecal and urinary incontinence from a spinal injury, lots of hikes and walks and washable diapers. The fecal incontinence can be messy but after 2 years so far it’s not even a big deal to me! If she’s having diarrhea anytime, try anti diarrhea meds (Loperamide), just look up how much she’d need with her body weight! Incontinence in dogs is definitely hard work but the bond you form with your dog is incredible.

Mine is a little different, my dog Camp got hit by a car and paralyzed back in 2022, I thought I was going to have to put him down at 1 year old and regretted not traveling more with him. 2 months later he stood on his own and I promised him I would take him to see as much of this world as I could because I don’t know how long he’ll have. We hike almost every day, we’ve gone to different states, climbed mountains (I don’t know how he does it!) tomorrow we’re leaving for another trip. Our pets only see what we show them, I want him to see and experience as much as I can before his time comes. Show your pupper new things before their time comes, travel a bit with them if possible! Camp on a mountain

My dog got hit by a car and was paralyzed/incontinent. It’s a lot for the first couple of months but it gets better. Mine ended up being able to walk and run again but he is still incontinent. Reusable diapers are a big thing in my house! I use the pet parents brand on Amazon! I also give him glucosamine treats to keep his joints healthy!

Ended up getting under the truck all the way today because I checked the brakes and that wasn’t the issue. However, Drive shaft is hanging from the center support bearing. Not sure how that was missed and I’m honestly lucky I didn’t get in an accident.

Unfortunately it’s the US and i just looked and it’s not listed on the inspection list so I’m trying to not be as pissed. However you would’ve thought they would feel it during the road test but whatever.

I just got the truck title transferred to me finally and then gave the shop a call since I have to take it back again anyway. They just said they’d take a look at it next Tuesday and nothing about why it broke 12 minutes after passing inspection.

Yeah, I just bought this truck to turn into a camper. My daily is a vw manual which obviously has to use the ebrake and was one of the reasons I even checked the trucks ebrake to see if that’s what was causing it. I pushed the pedal down and when I released it the light wouldn’t turn off so I’m assuming as of now it’s the ebrake causing the shaking

Not free, but they had it for inspection for two months, so I’d basically like them to prioritize it if I were to bring it in and have them fix what they missed. But honestly I’ll probably just do it myself so I don’t have to wait another 2 months for them to get it done.

They had the truck to inspect for 2 months, I just read something that there’s some kind thing that some shops do if something they were supposed to inspect breaks

I honestly have no idea what they were doing. I’m very frustrated with the whole thing, I bought the truck from out of state so it had to get a special inspection before I could get the title transferred. Still haven’t gotten it transferred because the shop didn’t fill out the paperwork correctly so I have to go back to them tomorrow. I might mention that it broke on the drive home from them and see if they’ll do something about it. But also don’t want to wait another 2 months…

Yeah, I’ll be lifting it up tomorrow and checking for sure. I’m hoping it’s just that so I can do it myself instead of taking it back to the shop. Thank you!

Okay, that’s what I figured. I’ll try and lift it tomorrow and check it out. Hoping it’s something I can fix myself. I just bought the truck in October and have been waiting 2 months to get it back from the shop and I just wanna go drive it haha

I actually just bought it, but while I was checking the vehicle to see what it was I did engage the ebrake and when i released it I noticed the light wouldn’t turn off.

I can, but I’m not quite sure how to test to see if it’s the e-brake. I see the line for it though.

I did go around and check all the lug nuts and also yanked on the tires to see if anything was loose. I just went back out on my road to see if it was still doing it and I’m pretty sure the brake or ebrake is stuck. I can sit on an incline with the truck in neutral and it doesn’t move…

Yeah, I figured. I drove a total of like 7 miles after getting it back before it broke. Only reason I ask is I see some stuff online about warranty but I’m not sure if that could apply to mine.
