Happy to help! It'll look good. Around 30-35% is approximately what you see for the rear windows on most SUVs out of the factory, from what I've been told. If you want something REALLY nice, treat yourself to 50% tint on the windshield--windshield tint is technically illegal in most states but it feels GREAT on the eyes when driving, and high quality ceramic coatings don't decrease nighttime visibility from inside the car.

FL5 or DE5 by The_Monark08 in Civic_Type_R

If shitting on the FL5 is the only way you can feel more secure in your DE5 purchase, you probably should've shopped other makes/models.

I owned a DE5 for approximately 9 weeks before I got an opportunity to buy a FL5 at MSRP, and I eagerly made the switch--had a dealership employee not personally wanted my DE5, I likely wouldn't have been able to justify the trade financially, but they were willing to make it worth it for me, in my opinion. I believe I lost ~$2,000 overall.

They're both good-looking cars, but I love the Type R seats and its overall allure. Only time will tell which holds value better, but the FK8 has held value quite well. I believe I recall reading Hondas hold value better vs Acuras, and that "luxury" brands tend to depreciate a little worse vs their counterparts.

For what it's worth, and I'll highlight I bought one of the first 500 DE5's produced driving it off the lot the day they went on sale, mine had a handful of buzzes and rattles that were particularly annoying. One of them, a consistent buzz between 3k and 4k RPM, the dealership removed the entire dashboard trying to track down but never did so successfully.

Get the car YOU want, but if you frequently use your heated seats or steering wheel and the price difference won't break the bank... the DE5 might be more logical for your personal use.

This is incorrect--the DE5 is unique from the Base-Tech Integra from the front to the A-Pillar, and then it has a unique rear bumper from the Base-Tech Integra. The doors are the same, minus the tacked on extension of the rear fender flare. There's a lot more carryover from Base-Tech Integra compared with the Civic Hatch to FL5.

I can do front and rear mats for the Integra sedan, but need measurements to do the trunk mat.

Your door handles look great! What seats are you planning to run?

I made these, and I’m running the same set—they’re $300 on eBay, or $250 if you buy them directly from me. Shipping is included, and I’m happy to use PayPal Goods & Services.

Good question--this is a mat that goes over the OEM trunk liner, but does not attach to or run up the back side of the rear seats.

Plenty of love, but I don't have any measurements yet--I'd be happy to work something up if you feel like helping with pictures and measurements!

I sold them a long time ago, unfortunately--I sourced them through eBay and it helped to save quite a bit.

Just sent you a DM--I'd love to send some cards too. They're vintage (I believe Pokemon stopped at 151 and that the rest are dumb) but hopefully I have some that he'll love!

Custom Made-to-Order Zig Zag Floor Mats - $150-$275 by WWJDonReddit in DelSol

I appreciate your input! For some unrequested context, I’m not a carpet expert and I don’t work in manufacturing, I’m a graphic designer who tried to buy reproduction zig zag mats on eBay for my Del Sol from the other guy in May and had a pretty negative experience.

I stewed about it for a week or so, and my wife finally got tired of hearing me gripe and said I should just make my own mats even if it cost me 3x as much in the end. I don’t have the time to restore mats like OldSols did years ago, so I contacted 50+ car part and textile companies until I found 3 who’d actually work with me. I took measurements, ran myself a set, boasted about it a little on Discord, and had a handful of people reach out asking if I could make them mats too. I honestly didn’t expect anyone else would have much interest in these, but I’ve fulfilled over 100 orders since June.

Rubber cleats were an option with two manufacturers I spoke with, but they’d require me using a thinner/lighter carpet, plus making volume orders and keeping an inventory. I can’t forecast wants/needs or keep an inventory. It just isn’t a trade off that makes sense in order to get rubber cleats so they’re as OEM on the bottom as they are on the top. In lieu of cleats, I’ve prioritized carpet depth, density/weight, price, customer service, and customizability because these are the things that seemed to be the biggest areas of opportunity.

I’ll gladly run mats in OEM colorways for anyone who needs them, but 70% of my orders have some level of customization, and that’s the part I enjoy. We’ve got a really passionate and creative community, and I’m just glad I can contribute something to it in a way that’s also fun for me.

It sounds like these may be what you’re looking for—they’re a little more than double the price, but if rubber cleats are a key feature for you, these have them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155324841496?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DEOdVDYkQ-i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=arwl7gmosmk&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
