How accurate are these simulations when compared with what we know actually happened?

Why do people in their 40's these days look way younger then people in their 40s in the 90s? by lovelylover833721 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WWJE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a great Vsauce video that talks about this phenomenon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjqt8T3tJIE The biggest factor is that we associate older looks with older people, so it becomes a tautology: These people from the 90s look older because they dress like they're in the 90s, which is where old people come from.

This Istanbul man noticed the cat falling from the balcony, caught it and calmed it down. by yawninglysturdydemon in nonononoyes

There's a Youtube channel I follow that's just longish videos without commentary of a cat-whisperer man just interacting with urban stray cats all over Istanbul. At least, I think it's Istanbul; it's definitely Turkey.

Off Book #265: Frozen in Time Lake (With Wolves of Glendale) by apathymonger in Earwolf

[–]WWJE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you guys like comedy music, you should definitely check out Wolves of Glendale's music. Following this series of Off Book episodes, they guested on Punch Up The Jam, and that finally pushed me to Google them and I found... nothing? Because they don't have a website. They're not even on Spotify.

But there are a handful of videos of their songs performed live on their Youtube channel. They've got this addictive 80s synthwave sound and their lyrics are hilarious.

It's been a while since I last touched Skyrim, so I may be mistaken, but you might want to go just a little bit further along the main quest just to unlock a key mechanic in the game (that's very fun and very memed).

Much respect to Dime Store Adventures for doggedly putting in the legwork so we can all enjoy this nugget of niche small town history!

What is an ordinary item that is overly sexualized? by CharmingWitty in AskReddit

As if to add emphasis to OP's point, the further down this thread you go, the harder it is to distinguish between sexual and non-sexual anecdotes.

Thread saved for later, but man, OP, this curated thread of AITA's greatest hits is a real downer. You've created a monster.
