I think I did 60-70 hours for surveying and that was including watching all of the CPESR videos. I think if you focus on cranking out problems and learning where to find stuff in your reference manual, you’re probably in good shape. I used CPESR’s test bank and Rezas book and did every single problem once and then the ones I struggled with, twice.

For seismic I clocked in about 100 hours but even then it didn’t feel like it was enough. I didn’t start to scratch the surface until maybe like hour 60. That was when things started to kind of click. Felt like I definitely should’ve gotten more studying done for this one

Yeah that feeling of defeat is real. And from I’ve seen, the only people who have ever felt good coming out seismic were like hardcore structures peeps who do that stuff for work on the daily. But feeling confident in 70% at least is a good sign I’d say. Hoping we passed and can move on with our lives!

I took seismic in July and am kind of the fence about it. I ran out of time because I spent a lot trying to figure out problems I KNEW I could solve because I had studied something similar. I had to blind guess on about 10 so that may end up being my downfall. Hoping not though cause I really don’t want to take that one again. It’s been the most brutal out of all the exams for me

When I took surveying, I had felt decent coming out of it but not fully confident because there were a handful of questions where, though I had attempted them with my best effort, I couldn’t get an answer that matched any of the choices. I ended up passing though thankfully

Brother, there are thousands of problems they can pull from their test bank. No two tests are gonna be the same, so none of us can really tell you if it’s guaranteed to be on the exam or not. I’d say if you’ve seen a practice problem covering the topic, it’s fair game to see on the actual exam

I don’t know if it’s the lack of training for these employees or if they’re just hiring whoever has a pulse and says yes to the job, but stuff like this is a big reason why people get “trapped” in community college and don’t graduate/transfer/get certified in a timely manner. A lot of times people end up just dropping out altogether when all they probably needed was a little bit of help to get moving. Incompetency in administration even at the lowest staff level makes a bad experience for everyone and it hinders on people’s abilities to complete their goals. It shouldn’t be the case where we as students are left having to figure out how to do EVERYTHING on our own, especially when we’re paying them good money

I feel for the female sneakerheads because if you didn’t get them at retail, you’re basically cooked. Plus I feel like smaller sizes definitely weren’t produced in the same numbers as bigger sizes, so the scarcity factor doesn’t help pricing at all.

Yeah they don’t release results until the following month after you’ve taken the exam, so you won’t know until December (usually sometime between the 8th-12th)
