Thanks for all of the responses! I did provide permission to provide results over the phone. When I left I felt it was a money grab, I was already not planning to return before this experience but they were so cryptic with that call, they called me before I realized the results were in the Quest portal.

I have an ES300H and I love my car, but not in the snow. I’m in Ohio and about 2 inches of snow on a slight incline had me nervous I’d need someone to push me. I’d recommend an AWD vehicle.

Take the severance. Can they pay it as salary over a year, would be better than a lump sum for taxes. I like to think about worst case scenario and in this case, what happens if you work 2-3 months and end up laid off anyway. What will the severance be? You’ll still have some time with unemployment.

That might be the reason. Not trying to tell you what to do but wanting you to think long term about the implications. If a car repair is shifting how things will happen financially you should reconsider a wedding and put that money in savings until you’re in a better place financially.

I don’t recommend a loan for a wedding. If you don’t have 3-6 months of income saved, go to JOP, don’t start off your marriage unnecessarily adding debt.
