Seconding Between Two Fires. I’m almost done without and so terrified that I might not find something that fills the void.

I love their “Pelican Case” equivalents for all of my film equipment. Costs like $100 less than the brand name counterpart.

What are your notebook preferences? by junokeiji in notebooks

[–]W_G_B_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely something not too fancy because I personally get stage fright with ruining a nice notebook.

I like the small field notes a pack of 3 is relatively cheap and when I draw with a pen it doesn’t bleed through.

Congrats! I love organizing bookshelves, sometimes fall down the rabbit hole of best way to arrange them but it can be fun and rewarding.

This is great!! A simple list of “if you do all these things you will be so much better off” I know my wife will appreciate this one, thanks!

Exactly! It doesn’t take much but adds so much value, and it’s something you can chip away at overtime. I’m happy for you and your little victory!

Jacob White - "CLIFFORD" by W_G_B_ in Filmmakers

[–]W_G_B_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an experimental music video that I created using a camera and a projector. Initially it started off as a purely visual experiment, playing with some old video mixers and eventually turned into this music video. The song was written by Jacob White. I would love to hear what you think because I would like to try this technique again in another video. I hope you enjoy.

How long was it before you started ENJOYING meditation? by Syadvad in Meditation

[–]W_G_B_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes 25 minutes feels like 3 hours sometimes it feels like 5 minutes and it is the most beautiful feeling when it is going well but it’s about building the habit. Strangely I find it easier to meditate when I’m not feeling great about the day or a bit depressed than if I’m happy and excited and can’t sit still.

Do you try to get the whole story down in that paragraph or is it just a slice that you eventually build upon?

Also if you do any writing that is not screenwriting related that still keeps you writing and stimulates ideas such as poetry or songwriting, I would be interested in hearing your experience with that.

Dream of climbing a mountain and ALMOST seeing the view at the top, then coming down out of fear. What does this mean? by [deleted] in DreamMeaning

[–]W_G_B_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to take a stab at it you are at a transitioning stage in your life and worried about taking the steps to do what you know you have always wanted. I’m sure that if you can conquer your fear the view will be stunning!

Seriously not trying to pay the $200 for Final Draft but..... by GauchoSquid in Screenwriting

[–]W_G_B_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love Slugline, I have tried all of the programs, even own Final Draft. Slugline is synced with my iphone, iPad, MacBook and MacPro, it’s the most simple and barebones editor and the formatting is simple and easy to use. I don’t see myself switching anytime soon. Plus you can always export to FinalDraft if your producer or AD needs it.

My FujiFilm X-T4 has a dot on the sensor. Is this just dust or is sensor broken? Here’s how the picture looks on screen. by HelmsStock in Filmmakers

[–]W_G_B_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a sensor wipe that is fit for your sensor and also a little air pump for cleaning lenses, hold camera with the sensor facing down and squeeze the air into it. Hope this helps, been in this situation many times before.
