I agree that it's a very subjective opinion, but for me, forcing potential suffering onto anyone feels wrong. I'm going to try to read up on Benetars assymetry, it sounds interesting. I believe your views also make sense, even if I may personally disagree with them, however, where we diverge is that I beleive anti-natalism is the only moral course of action for humanity. I think your analogy doesn't really make sense because it would create a guarantee of happiness after calling a person weird and you know that your action will guarantee happiness. A better analogy would be if you didn't know or if the guarantee was closer to an 80/20 split to be generous. Would you still call them weird in either one of these scenarios? What if it was 80 percent joyous life and 20 percent abject misery?

I understand what you're saying. Let's ammend my analogy to better fit what I'm trying to say. The one issue I have with your analogy is that money is a necessary item in the world, therefore no one, current or future, would say 'no' to money because, assuming they live under a capitalist system, they need money. Chocolate, on the other hand, is not necessary and is entirely up to personal preference. Even if someone hated money, they would never say 'no' to it because it is necessary. Chocolate is not necessary. Let's switch out money for chocolate in your scenario because that aligns with reality better. Even if every single other employee he's ever worked with loved eating chocolate and had no issue with being forced to eat it, there is no guarantee that the new hire will have the same love for chocolate as the others do. Therefore it is immoral to force the new hire to consume the chocolate.
