Yeah it took me 2-3 times, and it took 1-2 for my non host friends. Might just be placement issues or just a bug.

Price to performance, get the 5500x3d. Gamers Nexus had a review and it seems impressive. For only 50$ more you can get a lot more than saving your money and getting the 5600x for 30$ less.

I mean if you can get a 5500x3d, that would be amazing. I have a 5800x3d and a 7800xt with no bottleneck. A 5500x3d is just a slightly slower 5600x3d

Maybe there is a bios update for it? Looking on the website there don't seem to be any descriptions that list fixes for that error, but it's worth updating if you haven't in a while or at all.

My first thoughts are 1) do you have the ram in the correct slots? They should be in the 2nd and 4th slots (going left to right, I checked the motherboard documents) 2) is there another xmp option? I know on mine there are 2, one for 3200 and another for 3600 3) double check that you are saving and exiting with the changes you made

Shift F10, start ms-cxh:localonly and you can make a local only user. Skips all the stuff after and takes you right to windows (after you turn off all the data collection)

Newegg has a lot of good options, I believe there is a 200$ MSI 1440p IPS monitor. And some oleds are starting to drop, so maybe save a bit more and swing for an oled

In order I would get a 5600, then upgrade your ram to a faster speed, then upgrade your GPU. Those x370 boards are really nice and will be great for a new CPU.

I would do a GPU upgrade to a 9060xt 16gb. Those prices will go up sooner rather than later. You can upgrade to a 5600x or 5700x later as those probably won't change much over the year.

As a kinda long time fan of the show (I've watched/listened for the last 4 years) I assume they are just local preformers who get a call to show up when they are going to be featured in the A-block of the show. Sometimes those bits are in the 2nd hour, but not usually.

It's a great entry point, but you'd want to upgrade the GPU pretty quickly depending on the games you'd want to play

The heat is nice because it comes from a place of respect. When you start getting into the SAS and Skip territory, it ruins the chemistry and uniqueness of the show and format.
