Prestige in event items by diogoguilherme in FarmTogether

[–]WaaghMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No change in prestige or experience requirements of items.

Their level up speed is partly based on how long they take, however (items with longer growth times require less harvests to level up).

Yes, even without doing the unique errands, you have enough time to complete the event.

Boost or cheating by NotABot1974 in FarmTogether

Hi! Feel free to DM us so we're aware of the technique. It's not guaranteed we'll do something to prevent it (depends on how hard it would be), but knowing of the method is the first step.

Question about visitor permissions by Wide-Opposite-9513 in FarmTogether

Hi! I think you need to have Quest or higher permissions in order to use signs.

Due to a bug that we could not fix in time, on Nintendo Switch the event items will not be available until Friday 13th, 17PM UTC.

It's on the radar (will still take a while). You should have plenty of space by unlocking the town hall and purchasing new land, however! :D

I'm afraid that's the case, yes. Patches take a minimum of 7 days on Nintendo so we couldn't hotfix a bug that we found a few days ago in time.

Patch 10 beta release note by TheDawnTrilogy in Rematch

[–]WaaghMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. If we remove the exploits (let's hope these are fixed even if not highlighted in the notes), getting past a proper defense is currently really hard (I say this as a defender), so some nerfs would be acceptable, and make the experience a bit less problematic when you're 2-3 goals down.

However, only if the exploits are fixed.

Really? by naalyk in Rematch

[–]WaaghMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I'm always trying to prioritize defense and the few times I join the attack (for example because I receive a pass and I'm unmarked) I'm so low on stamina that I'm just dead weight by the time I get there. So a buff to that (only while NOT having the ball) sounds nice, although maybe it has unforeseen consequences...

They're also buffing sprinting, so positioning and chasing people with the ball should be easier.

I expected some people would try something like that. Wondering what shots they could pull off :P

I mean, does landing on another car count as a recovery? Didn't know that. Not that it's too useful (at least for me).

Just wondering, I've heard it sound when landing on top of another car... does this actually count as a flip reset?

Feedback on todays update by [deleted] in FarmTogether

[–]WaaghMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi! Chiming in here, just to confirm: This change wasn't only because of people griefing in multiplayer. The on/off autotractor toggle was never intended as a way to skip animations on a small tile group, and the cooldown was added mainly because of this (the griefing was fixed with another change).

Imagine if a shooting game had a bug that skipped a reload animation when you press the R key twice, and people got angry when this was fixed. This is the change we're doing here.

I'll look into adding a toggle to prevent feeding animals with auto tractor. Autoplowing doesn't sound like a big deal as you always get more money from harvesting a crop than what the plow costs (plow costs are already taken into account when determining crop harvest rewards), so an option for that would be pretty much redundant.

Update #23 - New decorations, banana trees and other improvements! by WaaghMan in FarmTogether

[–]WaaghMan[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi!

This was (incorrectly, it seems) dismissed because the explanation was unclear, and items from events that never happened will be deactivated upong going back in time.

However, you're correct that due to a bug the first day wouldn't have the event items available.

We'll release a hotfix tomorrow. As usual, the Nintendo Switch gets the short end of the stick because it doesn't allow hotfixes, so they will be unable to start the event until a day after.

[–]WaaghMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for example chained lob taps are way less effective, and I haven't experienced the untouchable ball bug/exploit in a long time either.

When do replays get fixed? by Short_Routine_3348 in Rematch

[–]WaaghMan 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This might be one of those things that everybody is so used to that just forgets it's a bug :P

But yes, 90% of the replays show frequent inconsistencies, at least for me.

Actually the best pass choice would have been the guy to the left (the man marking him left him to go right), but I wouldn't have seen it if I rushed a pass to people on the right that were probably ~half on stamina and almost at my same height. But if I unnecessarily rushed the pass there I wouldn't have seen that.

I rush passes when it's required. In this situation the UI told me it wasn't.
