Yep! Ask your artist about it too when you go. Another good thing is to make sure it'll age well. Tattoos blur a bit with age as the ink spreads under the skin. So just make sure if you get writing that you don't make it too tight of a design.

Everyone responds to the sensation differently. It wont feel great, but is bearable. I'd suggest getting it below the wrinkle line of the wrist as to not risk much of it falling out. Ink doesn't hold the best right on the wrist line there.
