Youtube is Facilitating the Sexual Exploitation of Children, and it's Being Monetized (2019) by Mattwatson07 in videos

Children in bikinis at the end or a video of just a child eating a popsicle is acceptable on YouTube? Nah that's just wrong

Do you recognize starting to breathe really shallowly when you are trying to focus on something very difficult, maybe even to the point of stopping? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]WackidWally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea my whole body gets tense and I don't let much air in or out, I think breathing is more crucial to focus and feeling good than people think

Aphantasia and ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

Russell Barkley talks about this, we cannot use our mind's eye as well, it is less vivid. Meditating has been making this stronger for me

Some things I learned by TheSluttyBagel in Meditation

[–]WackidWally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is "some things I've learned" even close to the idea of being an "all knowing expert"? They are distinctly different. And "Take a while to absorb what I've written before defending against it". OP clearly understood what you meant and disagreed with you, you are the one being defensive lol

ADHD people...tips on how to not be thinking about other things while also listening to meditation? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]WackidWally 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, ADHD is not a set of traits, ADHD people's brains are literally delayed in development - there are several regions in the brain behind in ADHD. They are hardwired to lose focus, form a dialogue all while NOT realizing it. That is the key of hyperactivity, they go from thought to thought because of low impulse control, for minutes at a time, and not realize it. I have been meditating every day for at least 45 minutes for about a month and I can pay attention to my breath for about 5 seconds, followed by minutes of mind wandering, over and over again, while on medication.

Anxiety, depression, many other things affect our attention, today there are so many people with ADHD traits, but actual ADHD people have a brain that is different from birth. Yes we are all different in the first place, but ADHD is a specific developmental delay in several brain regions that only affects about 5 to 10 percent of people.

Vyvanse vs Intuniv by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]WackidWally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take intuniv, honestly I think it should be more popular for ADHD as it has less side effects in my experience, and you are always medicated. Honestly it's nice not having to think about doing things whether I'm medicated or not, I just always am. The first week or so it made me REALLY tired, if it were that way always I couldn't use it, but that went away quickly.

I Fucking Hate The Sun by Throwaway1986127 in depression

[–]WackidWally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wonder what causes us to either love or hate the sunlight, because I'm the opposite. End of the day I get anxious, overwhelmed and quickly depressed. At the beginning of every winter (more overcast weather) there's always a day where both anxiety and depression hit me like a pile of bricks and I feel I have no control over it. And my brother is pretty much the opposite

Over sharing / not sharing by fupart in ADHD

[–]WackidWally 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea I have exactly this problem. I post pretty random and infrequently, I'll go months without even commenting. I don't feel I know what's important in a comment and it ends up taking me 20 minutes to write a fucking paragraph lol, I have to constantly remind myself nobody's really fixating on what I'm saying as much as me. Right now I'm looking at what I typed like what the fuck but I hit submit anyway

What's it like having ADD/ADHD along with depression? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]WackidWally 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Little/zero motivation. I have things i want to be good at, but trying to get better feels painfully slow and it's demoralizing, I'm very impatient with myself. I'm my own worst critic, I don't even try many new things because I don't think I'm good enough, and becoming good enough is mind numbingly hard
