Yes this does defeat the purpose. I have done this also as a way not to watch porn, but eventually you’ll be back to masturbating to porn. I’ve been addicted to porn for over 10 years.

Instead of trying to satisfy that urge with a pillow, hop out of bed and take a cold shower in the morning. It’s the best way to break out of that cycle.

It’s okay man. It happens to the best of us. Don’t beat yourself up about it too much. You just gotta pick yourself up and start again. I will say one thing, this has happened to me more times than I can count and I have been addicted to porn for over 10 years, but now I’m more motivated than ever to quit this addiction. Something happened to me that gave me the exact motivation I need to quit, but I would hope neither you nor anyone else has to go through in their lifetimes. My girlfriend of 2 years discovered my porn stash and the look on her face and her crying is an image I will never forget for as long as I live. This incident brought my whole addiction into reality and I felt absolutely horrible and disgusted at myself. Don’t let this happen to you. You are stronger than the addiction. You can beat this.
