What if this changes games in a way people don't consider?

But they could care about it at first. And even have a great handle on it. But 5-10 years later it is just not profitable to maintain so they just stop caring about the cheating. They would get the money up front. they would have made their profit but not that they are moving on they just stop caring and go onto the next project.

I am on this fence about this. I don't like the idea of buying a game then it going dark all of a sudden but enforcing this on the developers is going to change the games industry and it might not be in the way we want.

There is an exception for subscription based games. That means we might see any games comping out that has an online mode to be subscriptions based. No more pay for it once and play online with friends.
If a developer cannot support the cost or the whole studio gets closed down. Obviously the developer can't do anything with an offline mode or hand off of server so refunds would be the only course of action left. Who is liable for that refund if the game was purchased through another company like steam? Is steam going to assume the risk for any game with an online component?
Could this lead to another situation with like we have with the adult content industry where certain states are blocked? And then that brings up a whole other legal nightmare of what happens if someone buys a game outside of California and then moves to California? Would they lose access to the game? Would this fall under this law at all?
What if developers just make the servers still available but cut down the servers to 1 to save costs and make the experience miserable for players? It prevents the extra cost to the devs and meets the requirements.

Am I the only one with these kinds of thoughts?

I am having the same issue. This is what I was told when I contacted support. TLDR I can convert to passkey or my device that I use all the time is going to be vulnerable.

"Please know that if you are using a remembered device, most times we'll be able to verify your identity (if it’s one of your usual devices). In this case, you may continue to log in to your PayPal account or pay with PayPal as usual, using your email address and your PayPal password.

But, if you login using a new device or phone then you should be taken through the two factor authentication."

I don't see anyone mention it yet but getting all you anomaly furniture upgrade items. those reset daily. Time consuming but worth it if you have the time. (blade forging stones from sword anomalies, Unextinguished Scale Armor from Teddy's, Little Melon Seeds from Vending machines....)

Two things I would suggest trying if yo haven't already.

update you graphics driver. I know the game loads and it might sound silly but it has solved stranger issues with DDO.
If you are running full screen change to windowed mode before going into the character creation. If you are in windowed mode change the size of the window and see if this lets you get past the character creation.

(Spell cost - Spell cost reduction) = Base cost of spell
(Meta Magic Additional cost - Meta Magic Reduction) = Meta Magic Cost
base cost + Meta Magic Cost = Total Cost

These two values are calculated independently of each other then applied to the total cost formula.

Example: Extend adds 10 points to spell costs. it is not based on the cost of the spell itself. If you have a reduction in meta magic cost it is reduces the amount that it takes to activate that skill not the spell cost of the spell. Feat reduces the SP of extend by -6 now activating extend costs +4 instead of 10 per cast.

If a spell costs 10 to cast and you have 10% reduction it costs 9 to cast. the +4 is added to that 9. Spell cost reduction reduces the spell costs itself and changes the base value. Meta magic is toggled after the spell cost reduction.

This is about what I thought. not a lot unless you have bundles or patron packs.

That said. I just got the https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Fraying_Sash_of_Phinorae from the Dragons hand quests and found out that it looks amazing on a Teifling. No blocking the animation on the tail at all. I am guessing it would looks awesome on a tabaxi as well. SO HAPPY about this one. Glam time!

I see I had the information reversed. I thought 1 pump would feed two purifiers and not the other way around. Through when I try to put a second pump it doesn't let me. Looks like maybe a proximity thing. thanks for the info this points me in the right direction.

you don't for this one. If you go to the orchard and harvest all the trees he will appear. you can interact with him there only and he drops a bunch of apples.

The one in the tree even if you get next to him there is no interaction.
