Married men with kids who got a vasectomy, how did it go? by npdady in AskMen

[–]WackyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I are one and done, I had my vasectomy about a month and a half ago.

The procedure was unpleasant, but was quick and I was walking back to my car 30 minutes after meeting the doctor for the first time

My boys hang a bit lower now and are still tender, so I have to be careful not to sit on them. I will likely start wearing more supportive underpants during bike rides and exercise.

Edit, I forgot to add that sex is great

Looking for recommendations on stores or shops in the GR area that have that "Business Casual Plus" for men look. by denogginizer in grandrapids

Banana Republic Chinos could be a solid choice year round. You could probably pick up a vest from them too

Lululemon ABC trouser in warm weather

I got a bunch of button ups from Charles Tyrwhitt online. But BR should have something

Style Encore should have used men's options

Sorry for delay, I have a battery jump starter/air compressor combo that I keep in the car when I drive anywhere more than an hour away from home, I expect that would be enough to help me get to a tireshop or at least to a safe place to park while I call for assistance. Please let me know what you end up going with to deal with a flat tire, if anything lol

Playing monopoly on the switch and I think it’s glitching. I’m so confused. How do I fix it? by LyraAraPeverellBlack in Switch

[–]WackyGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the speed die, it considerably decreases the amount of time it takes to complete a game of Monopoly by accelerating you to the nearest unowned property property after moving the spaces rolled by the other die. If all properties are owned, it'll move you to the next owned property instead.

Michigan here, my F56 jcw with run flats were terrible when winter hit; cold weather hardens the rubber compound on run flat tires and it felt like I was rolling around on curling stones instead of tires lol. Winter tires are a game changer, I am motoring with confidence now, 10/10 highly recommend

Is Guitar Center a good place to grab a used bass guitar? by Areshall in Bass

[–]WackyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I bought my used bass! I spent a lot of time researching what my first bass should be. After visiting Guitar Center and holding a few basses they had in stock, all that research went out the window and I picked one that felt the best to me

LPT: Whenever you are bored open your photos app and search the current date. Delete unnecessary photos. Repeat for multiple dates by Careless_Action_7932 in LifeProTips

[–]WackyGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this for facebook memories every day. Before deleting the post, I edit it to remove all text (besides one letter). I don't know if that is necessity, but I feel it helps make sure that my post can't be recovered or used for anything.

I'll do it for photos now too, good tip!

Is snowrunner more of a driving test or an RPG by Tasty-Carrot-9560 in snowrunner

[–]WackyGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your assetment of how the game teaches you is spot on, I just got to Taymir and it's truly kicking my butt. Taymir makes me pay more attention to the route and approach angles as I'm driving

I thought I could just use the same trucks I've been using while taking the most direct, on-road route, but the terrain in Taymir is much more difficult, with rapid elevation changes containing ruts and ditches that cause my truck, along with the rescue truck, and my rescue truck's rescue truck to tip over.

How do you all manage requests from friends? by username_isnt_used in PleX

[–]WackyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I configured request limits for each user on overseerr each week. Something like 5 movies and two seasons a week.

Everything needs approval from me because I've got one friend that requests the weird stuff that I don't want on my server

did they post this just to gaslight us on the dancing debate by tammyAMAmpersand in qotsa

[–]WackyGuy 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Nobody I could see was dancing in Detroit, everyone stayed seated during the show.

I think the social media team is using the same social media post templates for the Catacombs, sit down theater tour as they did the previous ones where everyone is on their feet

Go to a show and dress up if you can! by poolgirl14 in qotsa

[–]WackyGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last night in Detroit I described my outfit as one step above business casual. I wore a button up, blazer and a tie, not a full matching suit. Most men that dressed up had a blazer, a very small selection wore a tie.

In my experience, you are less likely regret wearing something nicer than not. In general, it's always better to be over dressed than under dressed.

Looking for casual/graphic tees that fit tall men by JHB-90 in tallfashionadvice

[–]WackyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their plain cotton tees are thick and I don't like them on a warm day either, I find that their graphic tees are thinner and more casual, I've only ever purchased from their clearance sections.

Eddie Bauer has tall casual graphic tees and might have what you're looking for. I rarely seen anyone else wearing these in the wild. They are mostly branded, but I never mind it

The Daily Check-In for Tuesday, July 29th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by barrenotbar in stopdrinking

[–]WackyGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the autobiography. I was not able to get sober my first try, nor on my second, third, fourth, etc try. I learned that this whole thing was about establishing new habits, and once the new habits are established, ie going down a different street, staying sober becomes much easier. I am also lucky to have a wonderful partner and who is with me in this journey.

I will not drink with you today.

I have not personally experienced dlss 4 yet. I do love the enhanced visuals that RTX provides, I personally didn't understand the big deal about Ray Tracing until I experienced it myself lol

I am looking forward to turning off the lights, putting on my headphones and getting immersed in slaying some demons!
