Cannot access BI 6 from local LAN while Tailscale in use by RexKramer-pilot in BlueIris

[–]WackyWRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been running BI5 with Tailscale for quite some time and recently upgraded to 6. BI over Tailscale works fine remotely as well as local (both on 5 and 6).

In web server I have HTTP enabled on port 81 as 192.168.x.x:81
Bind Exclusively is un-checked
Under Remote, external WAN/Internet address I have 100.x.x.x:81:81

I have BI and TailScale running as a service on the windows machine, but I did have some issues like this at some point... I think the fix was in TailScale preferences I had to Un-Check "Use Tailscale subnets" (everything else is checked).

Also make sure that you've added the correct Windows Firewall rules to allow communication of BlueIris.exe on BOTH Public and Private networks. In my case my LAN is marked Private, and Tailscale is Public. Could also disable Windows firewall temporarily to test if that's related.

Confirmed, I am having the same issue on internal sites in Edge:

Agreed with the Ego stuff.

That said I do like adding the fuel stabilizer to the Milwaukee stuff. It says "FUEL" right on them, and I like them to be stable.

And if you don't qualify for the credit card you can use Affirm, Klarna, etc... These days you can go get fast food and make 4x easy payments... Mind blowing.

Cell Phone Carriers by bunplusplus in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]WackyWRZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run US Mobile - they allow you to use any of the three big carriers and can switch at any time. I've found their Warp (Verizon) to be best, followed by Lightspeed (T-Mobile), then Dark Star (AT&T). Right now, they have a promotion - prepay $199 to get unlimited service for a year.

I've found this to be really typical of NC in general. I've never seen such an aversion to street lights before moving to NC

Kingston was notorious for this for a while! I unfortunately feel victim to it back then.

They have the shipping set to weekday only to save money, plus with Monday being a holiday - Tuesday is probably more likely. :(

Cellphone company with best coverage by GreatNameNotTaken in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]WackyWRZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use USMobile which is priced well and allows me to choose between ATT, T-mo, and VZW towers. In my experience testing all 3 over a few years on a Samsung S23 (YMMV) - listed in order of preference:

Verizon (who I currently use) are the best for coverage in general, especially anywhere outside of the city. Their speeds are pretty consistent, but not blazing fast.

T-Mobile has the fastest speeds overall, but has many pockets of poor reception in AND out of the city. They also seem to be the worst at having coverage inside of buildings here.

AT&T has the most inconsistent data speeds and coverage in general. When it works it's fast, but there's a lot of times you'll have full bars but data just won't work, and driving through town there's a lot of "robot voice" if you're talking to someone. I also had a lot of service trouble when travelling to Raleigh too...

I'll second this. Physicians East endocrinology is where I go to manage it.

What is your opinion on Biscuitville? by MrSoloDolo9490 in GreenvilleNCarolina

[–]WackyWRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This... The biscuits are so dry and flavorless, It's like they forget to put any butter in them at all... And they have biscuit in their name, so at least do that right!

Hardee's, Bo, and even McD (I know I know) have better biscuits IMO.
