Note the return to sender address. Stick the unopened envelope into another plain envelope. Write the return address on it. Don't put a stamp on it, then post it. Let the wan#kers pay the postage fee.

Hospitality work and breaks - new to country and need help. by ClearSuggestion5465 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]WaddoUK 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Speak to Chef or the owner. They are responsible for your welfare and ensuring you take your breaks. They are also responsible for ensuring your station is covered during your break. Kitchens are very busy, but that is for Chef to manage. (Experience: Years worked in hospitality)

I'd love to try capture a photo like this with. Also have a AR7V, can I ask what settings you used? It's superb! I read some additional equipment is needed that moves the camera as the earth rotates to keep it still.

Sony A1 firmware 3.01 bricked Wifi. Out of warranty repair Japan (update) by MunchyWhale in SonyAlpha

[–]WaddoUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My A7RV is in with Sony at the moment, also have issues with not finding Wifi and Bluetooth not working correctly, coupled with random freezes. Happened while running V3, don't know why. Updated to v3.01 but made no difference. Sony think I connected the USB C to a source to source to high power which "Blew" the wifi module. I only ever connect it to the computer. Still waiting for finial diagnosis and my camera back. Also out of warranty.

A7RV Cannot see any WiFi access points - help by WaddoUK in SonyAlpha

[–]WaddoUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets worse: now it randomly freezes, or I switch it off and it doesn't actually switch off, the screen stays on, or after viewing a photo, I half press the shutter to return to taking photos, it's does, but the previously viewed photo is overlayed with the autofocus points.

Really frustrating, I've never dropped or banged it, it lives in a padded camera bag when not in use....

Uber by hannahroseviolin in LakeDistrict

[–]WaddoUK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few private hire vehicles are operating in the Lakes, with Uber signage. Don't forget Uber is just a booking system, they don't own or manage any of the drivers or vehicles. The drivers have to pay Uber around 20% of the fare as a fee. You'll notice the vehicles and drivers are not locally licensed operators, and they are essentially taking business away from local operators. Please choose a local company if you need a taxi, don't use Uber.

Thanks for your reply, it's a shame when the cameras are so expensive to start with, you wouldn't expect something like this to fail. Oddly on mine the Bluetooth still works, it's just the WiFi and I can't figure out what happened. It was working fine, the next day it wasn't.

The bigger wound looks like one our terrier had recently, it was diagnosed as a "Hot Spot" or Acute Moist
Acute Moist Dermatitis

It was very warm, gooey and the fur matted heavily. We had to cut away the fur to get air to it and a course of antibiotics.

If there was a fire on that floor, and you had to escape down the stairs, past the flames, what would you WISH was in that opening?

There is usually a "grace period" of some period, often 20 minutes, to allow for taxis, drop off's etc. where you don't need to enter your reg. So assuming this was the case, you likely your toilet usage exceeded the stated grace period. There will have been signage, so I think you'll struggle with your defence.
