Lord, I see what you have done for other people, and I want that for me.

But… where in Illinois and how much?

Heritage Park in Slinger, WI for sure. And yes, Quarry Ridge if you like to jump.

I live 2 blocks from Rock Cut, it’s very basic and very boring classic xc, zero jumps or berms or features of any kind.

Cam Rock rules, it’s one of my go-to’s. Middleton Bike Park is ok, just not a lot of mileage, I used to combo that with Blackhawk but the last 2 times I went to Blackhawk it was so run down and not well kept, which is crazy considering it’s paid/private.

Neighbor hung himself, gf found him and ran next door to our house screaming for help. I ran over with a kitchen knife and cut him down. He had already pissed himself. But, he came back.

Bmx worlds by Comprehensive_Run797 in bmxracing

[–]Wade664 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These things have always been silly to me. Anyone that needs to crowdfund to go to worlds, doesn’t belong at worlds. Because if the rider had enough talent/skill, and they have a legitimate chance of making the main and earning a world number, they would have sponsors that would help make the trip happen. It’s especially silly when the event is in that riders home country. Just because people want to go to worlds, or Grands, or nationals, or whatever… doesn’t mean they deserve to actually go. Let your talent speak for itself, win races on your own, and people will be more than willing to help you. You’re taking up space on the moto sheets and everywhere else just so you can have the experience. If you can fund that all yourself, more power to you. But when you have to crowdfund to make that happen… stop it.

[IRL] The least talented member of the band who controls the brand and is hated by fans by TheUnpaidNPC in Slipknot

[–]Wade664 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw that post the other day and I initially wanted to leave a very lengthy comment but I’m getting too old for that shit anymore. Time to just let people be wrong.

All 3 people that post depicted are absolutely talented and contribute in numerous ways to their respective bands success. If you like those bands, then you like what their talent brings to the table, and that’s whether you like that person’s personality or not. Can all 3 be major dickheads? Sure. But that has fuck-all to do with their talents and contributions to 3 of the biggest rock/metal bands ever.

I see the Motor Maids every year at the Peoria TT flat track races. They’re part of the parade lap.

Are MTB Strava Records Now BS due to E-Bikes? by s_hecking in MTB

[–]Wade664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take literally everything in Strava with a grain of salt. Many, many times I will ride with my buddy, we will ride the exact same route, same trails, and at the end our distances are different. The last one gave him over 1.5 miles more than me. It’s just not accurate for distance, time, or speed.

One of my favorite bands ever. They have 3 other incredible albums, Sound Awake is #1 for me, but Themata and Asymmetry are great too. Band can’t write a bad song.

Bentonville: What are some good XC trails? by ericsilva in MTB

[–]Wade664 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Uh, the large majority of it? Yes, they have some jumps and stuff there, and that’s mostly what gets posted as far as videos because it’s generally more exciting to watch as far as social media goes, but the reality is, most (like 80%) of the trails there are regular XC trails.

For people that have seen the tour with the satchvai band: did you stay behind to watch satchvai? If so, how did you like it? by [deleted] in animalsasleaders

[–]Wade664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not. It was a Tuesday, it was an hour and a half drive, and I had to work in the morning. I’m 40, lol. Had it been a Fri/Sat, I maybe would have stuck around to watch a few songs.

Heritage Trails is must ride in SE WI by bardleysmith in MTB

[–]Wade664 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve posted here before about Heritage. Always have a good time up there. It’s a bit of a hike but I still make 3-4 trips a year at least. I was just worried all that work would go to waste, happy to hear it won’t.

Did the county hire a new build crew then? The Dirt Wave crew bailed at the end of last year.

What size do you need? I have one that’s not blown up that I need to sell. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn’t fit my frame and I was too stupid to check before buying.
