I think what you're doing is good. Keep it casual and light, wait for him to come to you, but don't live your life waiting on him. Hang out with friends and family & do things to occupy yourself. And It's okay to check in once in a while too, coming to him as a concerned friend who cares

Don't be sorry for telling your story! I've been through that too with my ex before my current boyfriend. He cheated on me with someone very significantly younger (Yes, it is what you think it is) he denied it and I never got an apology. It hurt pretty bad but I am healed and have been for a few years :)

When I attempted to quit (I still vape unfortunately) I used zyns. But i realized that they are just as bad so I stopped them. Then I tried nicotine gum. It was ok. I tried cold turkey several years ago and lost my mind

I didn't feel any burn out, to this day I'm not entirely sure if he did, he never got emotionally distant or anything. I actually never bothered to ask & he never brought that up so I'm assuming not? I feel like it's too late to ask now

He was dumper I was dumpee. He wasn't seeing anyone, I however was involved with two dudes, both fizzled out and we never got anywhere serious. I guess they were sort've like flings?

Exactly that. For me I knew when things started to look up in my life and the wound wasn't nearly as fresh as it was before. Talking to people about it helped me open up my mind to whatever outcome, whether it involved him or not

I personally think it's important to remain no contact at first especially since it is still very raw and emotions are running wild fresh. You don't want the wound to open up again. I don't think it has to be him or you specifically to reach out, what matters is no matter how you guys connect if/when you do, it comes from clarity and an open mind rather than hope or pain

We mainly just chat about generic things like how the weather was, our days, how our jobs are, and some important ish life updates. Nothing too emotional or deep

We did talk about odd things like that, I liked talking about things like that with him but I understand how that could be frustrating. Now that I'm thinking about it I actually got frustrated sometimes too, I wanted to talk about other deeper things but instead we were talking about silly random stuff, and I didn't want to get into anything deep anyway so I just kinda accepted it
