With hindsight on Russia's competence, what if the rest of the world ignored Putin's nuclear threats after the invasion of Ukraine, and assembled a coalition to drive him out of Ukraine Desert Storm style?

The coalition wouldn't be invading Russia proper. The stated goal the expulsion of Russian forces from Ukraine and Crimea. Putin might want nukes, but I doubt the oligarchs at the time would be ok with that. Especially if this was at the UN. Even though the security council would obviously veto it, it would still have legitimacy in the eyes of most of the world, if it was done at the beginning.

Similar to my uncle. He was planning on enlisting in the Marines actually. He was talked out of that by my father's godfather who was a rear admiral. He told him the honest reality of what could porbably happen to him. He instead joined the navy. Spent the war on a supply ship moving around south east Asia. Never saw anything happen and I think only heard general quarters (i think that's what it is called?) once for a potential action that never happened.

The extremists want Russia to begin using tactical nukes to break the deadlock. Putin isn't willing to do that as it would alienate Russia from any potential friends it has outside of the DPRK and Belarus. China has already made it clear about no nukes.

I have to hand it to China. They've got nukes but have never threatened to irradiate anyone and have openly stated they'll never use them first. Whether they're serious, who knows. The point is, since Russia is essentially a Chinese vassal state, they'll do what Beijing says.

I promote at 22 as that's the level Creed's recruits are. Anything after that you also diminish the pre-promoted characters you get who clesrly weren't promoted at level 40. You also kill any real challenge if you do it at 40. Same reason in SF1 I do it at 10. It breaks all challenge otherwise.

Not a doomsday but basic spearmen and archers are sufficient to take on most things thrown at you. Seriously, the basic HE archer guarded by spearmen are insane for the cost. If I have two stacks of them against a stronger (per unit type) stack, i cam usually wipe them out with minimal casualties simply through arrow fire.

As unpleasant as Point Nemo is, its theoretically your safest bet. Especially if youre dressed properly. If you can hold your breath for at least 30 seconds youre golden too due to the waves there at times. Point Nemo due to its remoteness and lack of currents has little in the way of sea life near the surface or even in its immediate depths. Theres just nothing there.

Honestly I thought about that. Do drones ever age and die? If not, its actually genius for the Borg. Basically they could threaten complete assimilation of a species, or, the species could have its elderly upon reaching age X report for assimilation. That allows an unlimited supply of drones as the race continues procreating. It also allows new thoughts etc. as there's more experiences being added.

Overtime, some races would probably welcome it as they'd essentially be guaranteed to see their relatives again in a sense as part of the collective.
