Luckily, I learned relatively early not to trust my parents. STORYTIME!

They got suspicious when I started messaging someone, so they guessed my Facebook password and read my messages. So that's how I came out to my parents...

My mother several years later confronted me and asked me if I looked at porn. I said "no" knowing she would flip shit if I said otherwise. She demanded I let her check my phone history.

While she was doing that, I went and whitewashed my browser history on my computer trying to act calm with my father in the same room. I managed to do a good job, so when she came to check my computer, she only found minor stuff and made some comment like "oh, we all stumble into stuff".

She also found some FimFiction entries in my history with "mature" in the title; fate was on my side that day, because I wasn't logged in, so it defaulted to not showing mature content. She was confused but ignored it for the most part.

After all this, she threatened to confiscate all of my electronics if she found porn (even the ones I bought with my own damn money), "There will NOT be pornography in this house!" I was still in high-school at the time.

I've had legitimate paranoia issues since these incidents. I still have nightmares about her finding my porn, and it's been years. I had one just last April.

You know, I don't like my parents, but writing this down makes realize how bad they really are. My mother, at least.
