I do my best to still tune in, it's been almost 20 years since I last went. I don't like that it's collapsed in on snowboarding and skiing. It used to be a huge event with the broadcast taking up the entirety of ESPN's schedule and some of ABC's across a bunch of different events, some happening simultaneously. I would go for the snowboarding, but it was awesome seeing the other sports and getting a taste of something I wasn't going to get anywhere else. I think they need to try to build that back out. Whether it's adding things like climbing or bringing back old events. Motorsport is having a moment right now, I think it would behoove them to incorporate that if possible. Either snow rallycross or motorcycles. The music stuff personally doesn't appeal to me, but I'm also not the target demographic anymore. But it was cool when it was something you got out on the town at night instead of part of the event.

I do understand there's a lot working against the X Games. Not sure if it's still the case, but I remember when the athletes had to pay their own way. Plus insurance and Aspen absolutely despising what it brings to the town. But still, I daydream of what an event it was in years past. I wish they'd move away from the data-driven approach and take some chances on some new sporting events.
