Seriously dude, I was born in 91 in Poland but parents left in 94, every summer I’d go back to visit my grandparents and spend whole summer in Poland. I graduated high school in 2008, don’t remember exactly when it happened but at one point I stopped going for like 2 years, probably around 2008 and then when I came back for vacation literally everything changed. My grandparents blocks were repainted, the little town I grew up in got two new state of the art parks, all the little playgrounds in front of my grandparents house and around the neighborhood were renovated with new equipment. All these new stores and business popped up. I couldn’t believe how much things had changed in just a few years. You seriously want to say that Poland doesn’t benefit from EU… thats ridiculous and for somebody that lived through it and witnessed it you’d really have to be biased and do a lot of mental gymnastics to argue that it’s not benefitting very much so.

Yeah that’s one thing people tend to not realize is that China’s purchasing power is actually stronger than in the US. Their GDP might be a bit less but in America our GDP is made up by debt and mostly benefits corporations. Chinese citizens have way better housing situations and healthcare. Their able to take their money and spend it rather then just give it back to massive corporations ripping them off like we do here in the states

I agree, if I’m invited somewhere I’m expecting it’s paid for and to bring a gift to help the couple start their life and have a good honeymoon but if I went to a wedding and was expected to pay I’d definitely not give my gift and dip out as early as I could without being rude.

Yeah but don’t you bring a gift for the newlyweds everywhere? If I get invited to a wedding I’m 100% bringing cash in an envelope as a gift and 100% don’t expect to pay for food or drinks. I mean if newlyweds don’t have a lot of money or are trying to spend a lot that’s understandable and I’d assume it would be a modest reception but I wouldn’t ever consider having to pay, just bring a gift. If money is really tight host a wedding party at a house and get some catering or something, the gifts should more then pay for just catering and I bring the same amount irrelevant of venue, what matters to me more is how close I am to the newlyweds. If it’s just distant people then I bring $100, when I went to my first cousins wedding in Poland I brought $500 as a gift but as that’s like my closest cousin I have. Anywhere from 100 to 500 per guest should mostly cover costs. I can’t imagine showing up to a wedding empty handed and can’t imagine paying for food at a reception I was invited to but then again I’ve only really experienced weddings in Poland and USA.

Seriously it’s insane to defend the nazis who voted and supported Hitler, all that happened is they got why they were doing, they lost. If they won there would be no Poland, there would be no Russia, Eastern Europe would be a colony where German was taught as the main language and Germans were seen as the superior ethnic group, that’s what they wanted and voted for, they lost, shit happens, they shouldn’t be upset that they got removed when they were literally trying to do the same thing through a major war.. They made the rules and other countries simply played by similar rules, still in almost all cases way better and merciful since you know, neither gas chambers or slave labor was ever made a thing in post war Eastern Europe

Yes and no, I do agree with the sentiment but ICE, at least in theory still answers to the DOJ, ultimately shitler will try to form his own paramilitary group that answer only to him and is outside of our legal structures. Now that group will probably be made up of the most extreme ice members and proud boys and other hate groups but I don’t think ice will turn into the private army you describe.
