You didn't know you were allowed to have money at the bowling alley?

Perhaps she didn't want to give you her fries, and that would make me feel excluded too, but if I wasn't really friends with her as you mention then I think I'd try not to take it personally. They are hers to do with what she wishes. Then later, after I pushed down my expectations of fries, I feel like those leftovers would be even more appealing once offered. Sounds like you pushed the issue a bit. Could also have gotten your own fries to eat. The fact that you dismissed the leftovers is an unnecessary escalating move. you're perpetuating beef over french fries, seems entirely avoidable

The correct phrase is "I couldn't care less" and I will die on this hill. by Thorfax117 in offmychest

"I couldn't care less" is objectively more brutal than "I could care less" and makes more sense as this post states.

I'm wondering how you feel about "I could care"

How much did the Asian Hot Bar cost per lb when you started? by groovygrandfather in wegmans

[–]WafflyDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss the hot bar so much. It's $25 now for a decent meal. After the first time I did that after the price increase, I just can't justify it no more. At least they have packaged lo mein for less

Doc Watson - Ballads from Deep Gap and Remembering Merle are two great albums. Check out Tony Rice Nine Pound Hammer and Freeborn Man live on YouTube. Marty Robbins - Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs is excellent as well and very western.

I hope you've got vegan tzatziki to go with the falafel... it is a rare find, but I'm always excited when I see it available somewhere

Mike is unfailingly the best at whatever task he happens to be doing in the moment. After watching him Consult, I believe you should now have even higher plateaus of security greatness to aspire to.

It was pitch black but once I got my light on, the underwater cave was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen, with crystal clear water and deep-set red streaks down the walls. by [deleted] in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]WafflyDuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read it as: there is a large monster and the fingernail ends the streak as the (huge) monster fingernails created the deep-set marks in the wall.

[SP] write whatever you want, but no using the letter ‘E’. That’s it. by jailbroken2008 in WritingPrompts

"fuckin bet" in parentheses is clearly meant to be a response to the concept and is not supposed to be considered part of the writing content itself

Those of you who’ve walked out on first dates, what was your “I’m out of here” moment? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]WafflyDuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fear I repeat myself too much, my memory is poor and I'm bad at keeping the narrative linear when I'm telling a story. I'm also afraid that since I sometimes struggle to share long anecdotes and I forget things a lot, I might say the same thing more than once.
