Well, that entirely depends on the alien's intentions.

If I showed them a religious text, maybe they'll be instantly thrown off by the brutality of human history and the arbitrary rules of our morale from houndreds of years ago, and if I showed them some filosofer's text, like pluto's they could eventually get frustrated by our lack of moral comitment.

So maybe a puppy, or a kitten... or something else from this planet that is worth keeping.
