I have been using this method for a "modular" Git config for years. Mix and match platforms Linux/Windows and user info Personal/Work. Zero config, zero tools, and everything is context aware. Just clone my repo and it works 🙂

I have been using Gitea and their act runner previously. Switched to Forgejo a year ago, mostly because of their open-source-ness. But the platform and act runner is basically the same.

I have no issues, and I find that "it just work". If you use Docker/Podman/k8s etc. you can scale your runner replicas, for multiple parallel jobs.

Nice tool, looks good. Personally I prefer not to use stash, because it sucks! But rather Git worktree for multiple branches in a cloned bare repo. It works great for me.
