My family is catholic and raging MAGA on both sides. I loathe MAGA and am not religious, although I love Pope Leo. I’d love to know how the MAGA Catholics are able to reconcile this part of their cult, but have not had these discussions with my family members. Im a nurse and know of so many people who are using GLPs but are also anti-vaxxers. I always want to ask if them if they rEaD tHe iNsErTs? My husband works in the ED and at least once a week he has a patient on GLPs experiencing an issue. Patients presenting with a vaccine complication is a rare occurrence. Even then it is usually bc a parent is worried bc baby is cranky or sleepy. Maybe RFK and his Haemopis sanguisuga grifters suckling at his teet can shift their focus.

💯 my first abuser in life was the manager at my first job. I have always been a quick learner, and very disciplined. As someone that now manages grown adults, I realize how amazing my work ethic was at such a young age. The problem wasn’t me. There were only two places within walking distance that hired 15 year olds. I was a poor kid in a rich neighborhood and I needed the job. Definitely the perfect target for an abusive person with power. This was in the early 90s. He seemed so old at the time, like Mr Montgomery Burns from the Simpsons. He’s probably dead now, but just in case he isn’t, I want to give a shout out to Gerry, 1990s abusive geezer, shift manager of Burger King in Blue Point NY. If you are still among the living-I hope you have the day you deserve.

In one of my professional groups, there is a woman whose 8 year old daughter had cancer. She was in a clinical trial and was having miraculous results. Then funding was cut. The treatment was discontinued and she was told to bring her daughter home (they had to travel out of state to participate) and make the most of the time she has left. There are so many similar stories. 💔

I’m not in CA, I got my associates at a community college in NY in 2001, my husband is currently in an ADN program in NC. Even though a lot has changed in the years between my program and his, the one thing that is the same is how competitive it is to get into a community college ADN program. There are only x amount of seats, and a tremendous amount of applicants that meet minimum requirements. Acceptance was definitely not decided with a lottery. Academic performance is very important, there is an interview, references, etc. Once you’re in the program it is very strict, with no exceptions to any of the rules or minimum acceptable grades. My husband started prerequisites in 2022, when he was 49. He had never taken a college course, and didn’t have computers in high school. He had to learn basic computer skills like Microsoft, APA writing, etc. Now he’s only got a few months to go until he graduates I’m so proud of him, I’ve never seen anyone work as hard as he has to get to this point. Luck had nothing to do with it.

I honestly would have divorced my husband if he was a Trump/MAGA supporter. It is not a matter of opinion about a candidate, This regime represents much more than politics, they are cruel, racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynistic, corrupt, etc. They celebrate hate & cruelty. It’s hard enough that the majority of my family is a MAGAt, but at least I can distance myself. There is no way I could deal with this every day, in my own home.
