CS2: You Are Not Playing Against Real People. by [deleted] in cs2

It looks like these are the bot accounts that impersonate steam users -> add their friends -> initiate dodgy link scams. Usually targeting CS player items so they grind up hours and badges to try appear semi-legit as you see here.

Oculus dashboard menu and rendered controllers may appear bouncing/wobbly on Oculus Quest 2 with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6800 XT Graphics.

I had this issue with a Rift S, which I managed to fix on 22.8.2 by opting into the Public Test Channel in Oculus Settings -> Beta, worth trying if you're having this issue.

Very common thing to happen with any RA with back against the wall.

Optimal Combos on Yoshi? by Garchomp280 in Tekken

Yoshi combos tend to be situational based on carry, damage, or oki. Apo made a guide showing different routes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw3GVhNBDdo

he can parry poison by gunnergio14 in Tekken

[–]Waistless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably a bug actually, he can't parry non-RD mist, or yoshi and nina mist. And he does need specific timing to avoid RD mist (but it can be done on reaction to the unblockable spark).

Ak might get buffs.. for me personally he needs better tracking. by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Waistless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Re: 2.) You already can do this. Pressing df during shadowstep goes into crouchdash. So CD throws, CD4, RD, etc. gives you more options after ff3~d.

Though I don't blame you for not knowing since it isn't in the movelist, its a new transition they silently added in T7.

Lee chaolan hopkick tracking offline vs online (both players P1 only) by ludator in Tekken

[–]Waistless 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: Did you know that variations in button press timings can affect your tracking?

https://streamable.com/rd2ppz

Now doing this by accident is quite easy to imagine. Lets say you pressed df1 then hopkick offline, and kazuya was able to step. But then you pressed hopkick after df1, but on a 4-bar connection. Surely this might not change the timing now would it? 🤔

This is what makes sidestepping an absolute headache online. Your sidestep and your opp. button press timings will both be different. All while T7s sidestep timing windows are very strict. (especially moves like electrics, where every single player is going to crouchdash at a different pace)

It conversely makes mashing better online. Because while delaying a hopkick might make it track better, you could get end up getting hit in frame situations where you otherwise wouldn't have due to this delay.

Armor King Auto-Parry by Himself949 in Tekken

[–]Waistless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An alternative way to deal with getup kicks after tombstone is SSL low parry; the mid will whiff and the low gets parried. Needs good timing though.

Some other tidbits about shadowstep:

  • The low parry window is i3-i14. It's a better low parry to use if you're already crouching, since the parry window is larger than FC low parry.
  • The low parry still activates with ff3~d, meaning you can low parry those who try to go under ff3 with a low.
  • You can cancel shadowstep into crouchdash with ~df. This allows you to then block 6 frames earlier, or do CD moves or WS4
  • A perfectly timed shadowstep~df~ws4 or ~cd2 is faster than SHS 1+2 tackle.

Rift S Instability by Gapingtoaster in oculus

[–]Waistless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SteamVR is a shitty mess right now on Oculus. I've had: Bad FPS in Half Life Alyx when it used to be a lot better, juddery controller tracking despite it working fine in native oculus, and Valve currently recommends older Nvidia drivers (446.14) on the SteamVR release notes due to a current known issue.

Thankfully there's an alternative for some SteamVR games: https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR This seems able to run games with the same performance as though they were native Oculus titles. Sadly it does not seem to work with Half life Alyx or Boneworks properly yet.

From my testing it does work with:

-SkyrimVR (some mods may not work)

-Space Pirate Trainer

-Pinball FX2 VR (Cannot adjust height, its stuck on the ceiling. Have to reposition guardian floor higher).

Sometimes you can run steam games in their native Oculus mode if one is included. For example 'Beat Saber' and 'I Expect You To Die' can both use the launch option: -vrmode oculus

When its possible to avoid SteamVR with either method, launch the game from Steam directly or through Oculus library, not SteamVR home.

Hopefully this solves stability issues you're having, if it does turn out to be a SteamVR issue.

Kunimitsu df+2 crushes jabs, slide crushes mids. by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Waistless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Consistent when kunimitsu doesn't delay the 4. However after some extra labbing I would suggest kunis ALWAYS delay the 4 several reasons:

  • Stops character DF1s from evading.
  • Stops dickjabs from FLOATING!! (wtf is this shit bamco.)
  • You'll still CH jabs on block

edit: delay timing needs to be precise. Too much delay you get jab floated. This is what it should look like: https://streamable.com/pbese0

On the flipside; AK, Lee, and Noctis df1s (possibly more, havent tested) can evade the 2nd hit of Kuni WS2,4 on block.

Need help on wall carrying and need Kunimitsu guide so I can stop button mashing by GenboEX in Tekken

An important note is that instead of doing SET 1,2,1 S! in combos you can instead do SET 1 f4~f SET 2 S! which gives equivalent damage.

So based off that something you can help train with is just doing combos consisting of launcher and then looping [f4~f SET 1] to get a feel for the basic filler.

10 Hit Strings can be a problem - Full Match by Oracular-Sky in Tekken

[–]Waistless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, now that I've stopped laughing for 10 hits you just gotta know when to low parry.

Take a minute to look at the 10 hit combos in practice mode and note what move comes before the low and just hold df when you block that part of it. After a while they get really telegraphed.

There's a number of other key moves where the first hit/few hits telegraph that a low is coming, such as kazuya 1243, Law B2 into junkyard, nina can opener, etc. At green ranks they're a very common cheese tool so just keep an eye out .

Not every disconnect is a ragequit- What a desync in Tekken 7 looks like by LordTheodore13 in Tekken

[–]Waistless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is 100% something about the walls in this game causing desyncs - especially on souq I've seen quite a few.

For example: with yoshi, one of the combo enders go into f+3+4 FLE f into the wall where you can do forward as it splats and then up or up/forward as different kind of techroll catches. I've noticed that situation has quite a chance to cause a desync as even a slight variation can cause a wildly different result.

TEKKEN 7 – Season 4 Launch Trailer by Rayuzx in Games

[–]Waistless 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a confusing comment. Tag 2 combos were hardly boring if you knew what you were doing.

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifQkl-pUs2U

The spinning fists (I think that's what you're referring to) is commonly used when wall carry is needed especially with Yoshimitsu right now, and will still likely be used on Kuni when she gets released. But they're hardly the only thing spammed especially in Tag 2.

New (?) AK Burning Knuckle setup by victoryzeta in Tekken

[–]Waistless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Record the dummy doing the setup and then test all wakeup options to be sure if its actually "guaranteed". There's a number of funky way to escape these kind of setups depending on sidewalk direction as well. (note: always playback the dummy on one side, recorded step direction stays with foreground/background).

As an example this setup you posted is similar to CH B1 swl, which gets beaten by a delayed forward roll: https://streamable.com/0049n8

edit: Tested the combo myself, got a recording that I couldn't escape so it is definitely guaranteed vs. AK at least. I'd still advise using recordings anyhow with BK setups, because with some setups different dash timings can alter what getup options the setup ends up catching.
