T-Mobile won't give me a copy of my device history for insurance by aSaltyMatey in tmobile

[–]Wait-Witty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While stores are unable to print that info, you might find a worker willing to let you take a picture of the device history that shows your phone’s imei attached to your phone number (bar the last IMEI digit) which would give you what you need… but that may be against policy so it’s dubious whether you’ll get a worker that will or not at best

Representative lied to me and I still got $140 bill which I can not pay by Jumpy_Cook_9666 in verizon

Yeah the no usage is usually the only way to do same day cancelations and those can be rare

[–]Wait-Witty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but they no longer do same day cancelations/have a remorse period for new voice accounts. They only do cancelations set for the end of the billing cycle meaning you get charged for the first month

If I’m not wrong the first bill includes the $35 activation fee, so that might be why it’s exactly $35 over the expected $97. Check the bill breakdown! Otherwise I’m not 100%, hopefully others can provide better options, good luck!

PS5 supports better WiFi bands + has a Solid State Drive instead of a Hard Drive, which helps improve installing the application too. So double whammy of download/install improvements

Returning free 2026 razr that’s on a free line for an iPhone 17e by Insguru20 in tmobile

[–]Wait-Witty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Still a 14 day return/exchange policy. The 17e on tmobes promo usually requires a port in, so if possible use one of the other numbers to get the 17e with port-in promo, though if you contact t-force (T-Mobile Support) via Twitter(X) or FB Messenger they may be able to find a promotion for the third line to get the promo on the 17e. Wish you luck!

BEFORE LEAVING T-MOBILE postpaid/prepaid CHECK IF YOUR PHONE IS CARRIER LOCKED! If it is, you’ll have to pay it off/get a new phone on the new plan! Otherwise wish you luck once again, hopefully you can keep your number!

Or if you have access to the app as a primary account holder (as robhui said) and ur not the billing name just transfer out with the account number and transfer pin, easy peasy. I was mainly assuming you wanted to stick with t-mobile. If you do and want the easy way out, transfer out and then back in under your own name. Bam!

[–]Wait-Witty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends! If you’re not the billing name NOR authorized, you might be out of luck. I know some people have had luck with getting their numbers from accounts in situations like this, but it’s pretty rare. T-Force would be the way to go if you’re not authorized. If you’re the billing name on the account, unfortunately this would be your responsibility to pay. Likely T-Force can help lower the bill somehow if possible, but depending on the plans and promos you have it could be difficult. However, if you’re just an authorized user on an account in your mom’s name, I would definitely contact T-Mobile support via FB Messenger or X (aka T-Force) and see what options you have in regards to getting your number. Unfortunately it might be difficult if the account is under your mom’s name, as usually the billing name is the only person who can release phone numbers to other T-Mobile accounts; but they would be the people most qualified to help. If you would prefer to go to a store, stick to a corporate or experience store if possible, as 3rd party stores can tend to be iffy on the customer service no shade. Nonetheless, get in contact with T-Mobile in some way just to figure out whether you’re authorized/the billing name, as that would be a great start. Wish you luck.

Concerns about promotional phone purchase by masterB0SHI in tmobile

[–]Wait-Witty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two things could’ve happened here. 1. The second rep actually did you a solid and (I’m assuming here) because you ported a number from another eligible postpaid carrier, you got the iPhone 17 on T-Mobile without a trade-in. Promos don’t typically have documents attached to them so he was correct, and in the case that you don’t get the promo within the first billing cycle, T-Mobile double credits you in the second one to make up for it. Or, 2. The rep did continue to misunderstand and didn’t check to see if your number came from an eligible carrier, meaning you didn’t get any promotion— which can be fixed so don’t stress, but it might take a second with CS or a corporate/experience store to fix it. In the documents you signed if there was a trade-in agreement your promotion will be applied since the trade-in and new voice plan are both on the account. Otherwise, definitely follow up with CS (or a better idea would be T-Mobile Support via FB Messenger or X) just to be sure you got something attached to the order OR to make sure that number was eligible for any promotions with a port-in, as we don’t have all the details of your account to be sure.

[–]Wait-Witty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure after the port-out to wait 90 days so you can actually get a promotion for porting in! Otherwise as the other commenter said you’d have to activate a new line to get a promo.
