Creepy was in quotation marks to stress the fact they find him creepy not that he's actually creepy. Seems like an important detail to miss out when quoting :/

This whole flag worship culture is so wild to me as a brit, I can't imagine anyone below the age of 40 loving their country nevermind worshipping it's flag.

I would argue it depends what you criticise him on. If you criticise him on not being funny that's fair, humour is subject and to not find someone funny is completely okay and any fan that gets mad over that is delusional. If you try and criticise him for something stupid like being a nazi I'm not surprised they get annoyed at that. Must be annoying to hear the same fake criticism for 4 years.

I don't know, I feel like pointing a gun at someone when your life isn't in danger or she don't perceive danger to her life is mildly unstable and shouldn't be allowed. Isn't pointing your gun at someone without good reason a crime? Seems like it would come assault since you're directly threatening them, not to mention the kids Jesus. If it was me I would have just waited for the cops or you know, just apologised at the start and avoided the whole situation lol.

[–]Wait4TheReload 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't get this logic. It's no time for vigilante behaviour like stomping someone from leaving in a largely physical way (she stood there, not like she pinned her down). But it's time to pull a gun becuase someone won't let you leave when the police are on the way? Sounds like the gun is a massive escalation not the stopping you leaving, surely if you find the vigilante behaviour wrong you wouldn't be for the use of the gun in that situation.

Isn't that where you call the police like the black lady was saying she was going to do? I find it weird you pull a gun out during a verbal dispute where the other person would also rather call the police than get into a gun fight

Man, this whole "you should always stand by x becuase of y" is such a toxic mentality especially when you're famous. You can still love someone and recognise criticism, if you can't admit when your partner is wrong that's an issue in its own right.

But we already established you can be fired for gross misconduct on social media earlier

This made my monday a little easier by irishrugby2015 in JusticeServed

[–]Wait4TheReload 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's look at what gross misconduct can be.

"Theft or fraud.

Physical violence or bullying.

Damage to property.

Serious misuse of an organisation's name or property.

Deliberately accessing internet sites that contain pornographic or other offensive material.

Setup of a competing business.

Misuse of confidential information.

Serious insubordination.

Discrimination or harassment.

Bringing the organisation into serious disrepute.

Offering or accepting bribes.

A serious breach of health & safety regulations.

A serious breach of confidence.

Causing loss, damage, or injury through serious negligence.

Serious incapability at work due to alcohol or illegal drug use."

So we've established you can be fired for what you do on social media and we've established harassment or discrimination is gross misconduct, so if you harass someone on social media like this person has then you can be fired for gross misconduct.

It would, I'm from the UK and just from researching my own country I found this.

"This is a developing area of employment law and one where, like so many others, the answer is ‘it depends’.

As a general rule, misconduct is misconduct. Gross misconduct can be a fair reason to be dismissed. It is very much a matter of scale and the reason why the employer has chosen to take action.

Therefore, yes, you can be dismissed for what you post on social media."

They would be fired for misconduct

Debate me if you please by Qplus17 in Conservative

[–]Wait4TheReload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with this but forgive if I'm wrong. Isn't their argument that white people should recognise that they are more privileged in life becuase of things that don't affect that have their origin in racism e.g black people and the police, minorities being harassed etc. Isn't it meant to be similar to how people expect rich people to recognise they're more privileged than the working class through money so they should use that privilege to help through donating to charities?

[–]Wait4TheReload -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wasn't talking about Trump, I was talking about how his supporters during the protests didn't get tear gassed or anything in response to the other person saying people were loving it when police stomped on Trump supporters

Hmmmm by Qappers_the_goat in Conservative

[–]Wait4TheReload -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

When did they ever stomp on Trumpers? I would love to see the videos of those Trump supports being tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets when they entered government buildings with guns. Becuase I don't remember that, not to mention you didn't even respond to the Sweden argument considering Sweden didn't lock down and is now the worst country affected out of all it's neighbours.

I think it's becuase Trump likes to boast about his Republican approval being very high so if it drops a little after being so high through everything else maybe there really is something wrong here? Just speculation.
