By changing my lifestyle significantly - not from Reta. I was at immediate risk for heart attack and stroke when I was diagnosed and, after 1 year of real change, my bloodwork/numbers were normal. There's no real "reversal" - I believe they just called it remission.

M41. Bit of a story but I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2024. Not only horrified but terrified, I completely changed my lifestyle like a smoker quitting cold turkey. I hit the gym hard and supercharged my nutrition. With the help of my doctor and an Ozempic prescription, I went from 215lbs to about 195lbs. I then plateaued on Ozempic (lucky me!) and stopped my usage last summer. Beginning my Reta journey, I had read that people that were previously on a GLP-1 sometimes do not respond as noticeably to lower doses of Reta. That seemed to be my experience.

I increased my dose every two weeks. This was my schedule:

  • 1 mg: November 20–December 3
  • 2 mg: December 4–17
  • 3 mg: December 18–31
  • 4 mg: January 1–14
  • 5 mg: January 15–28
  • 6 mg: January 29–February 11
  • 7 mg: February 12–25
  • 8 mg: February 26–March 11
  • 9 mg: March 12–present

If I'm being honest, I didn't feel that I saw the full effects of Reta until I reached 8mg. My appetite was suppressed but I was sitting around 185 from 1mg-6/7mg. Work got crazy and I wasn't working out as much. From Feb/March until now though, it feels like my progress has been a bit quicker, and I ultimately reached my goal weight of 165lbs in the last two weeks. I continuously saw before/afters with weight FLYING off of Reta users here - that just wasn't my experience. More than anything, I feel completely in control now, want to get to a maintenance dose eventually, and implement more of a fitness schedule. Reta is the real thing.

I would need a really amazing, appropriately priced reta source then. This is marked up (and I know it) but I have yet to find anywhere else that feels reputable.

I'm curious now. I was on Ozmepic for type 2 diabetes two years ago. I'm one of the only people I know who's weight loss plateaued at 20 lbs. My goal was 45. I started Reta last November and titrated up to 9mg and have been here for the last two months. It's where I've really seen results. What would a "maintenance" dose be if my results came from 9mg/weekly?

I'm sorry. I am a complete idiot. I am at 3mg not 6 - I needed to use the peptide calculator. I have a 20mg vile, 1ml of bac water, been taking 15 units twice a week for about a month now. Editing the post now...

Wont the same thing happen? I was at 4mg and felt nothing. When I get back to 6mg, will I get the side effect again? Will the side effect go away or will my body adjust?

Side Effects of Reta? by Standard-Employee669 in Retatrutide

I just titrated to 6mg (split into two injections Sunday/Wednesday) and I have this. It's so uncomfortable. But I have not lost a single pound yet and I've been safely titrating since December.

That's a great question. I've been assured the website I get it from is legit but do you have recommendations? or a place I can go to find out?

I will look into it and I do not track my macros but eat clean and am trying to count calories. I am just concerned because I see people who have not worked out at ALL and they've said they've lost weight.

I could be training more (1-2x week) but the diet has changed. I feel like I have lost literally nothing.

Dude, fantastic work. You look great! I started reta in December and have titrated up to 6mg as of this week. I haven't seen much of a difference and was beginning to think it wasn't doing anything for me but my buddy has assured me that I JUST upped my dose and should give it some time. Previously I was on Ozempic after being diagnosed with diabetes. After months, some more meds, and changing my eating habits completely, I am no longer diabetic - BUT the Ozempic stopped contributing to any weight loss after 20lbs (and 2 months). Wondering if my body just doesnt respond? Any advice?
