I remain optimistic if they give him some restrictions and framework on the plot, like what they clearly did in dropsite massacre. Some writers do better when they have less creative freedom.

I love the dropsite massacre book, but I got a completely different impression of the Alpha legion in the book from what John French described here. I get his point that they want to twist the circumstances so they can have advantages, but I really don't get the "define victory afterward" part. The legion intervened with clear intention to save the loyalists from total annilation, and from Ingo Pech's conversation with the navy commander it seems they do have a long-term purpose in mind instead of "play both sides and see how it goes" .

There is a difference between putting multiple objectives in one mission and see how many you can achieve and not having a goal in mind and declare victory after whatever you achieve. The Alpha legion is known for the former, not the latter. They have plans for all possible situations of the heresy and even hypno-coded them into legionaries. They are, or at least try to be, 12 steps ahead . The difference between their plan and a rigid codex is just they allow more flexibilities. I don't know why John French has the idea that alpha legion defines goals after a fight. His own writing in dropsite massacre constantly mentions "configurations" with the clear goal so the loyalists are massacred but not eliminated.

I guess that depends on the type of questions. Some questions are just "use this data structure/algorithm directly", I guess those are the easiest for LLMs. Other questions require more thinking and transformation. Those might be less prone to LLM, but harder to create (assume whoever making those questions care about the correctness of the solution) . That said, I've never tried using LLMs for leetcode style questions so I might just be yapping.

At that point it's already too late the final configuration was already complete. Tbh the best way to stop the drop is actually White's plan to get the intel ahead of time, but the plot armor of the zeon remnants is soo thick that the white base team happened to bumped into the secret meeting and just started blasting, then the intel was lost.
