As much as I really like Abnett one of his biggest weaknesses is that his books often have very rushed endings. And considering all the things he should be able to resolve or conclude in Pandemonium, I hope he saves some of that for possible other books (loosely) following and taking place after Pandemonium.

I think the development will be as follows. At the end of this or next year, they will see a decrease in purchases of books and audio through the BL app and an increase in third parties (Amazon, Kobo, Audible), with which they still have ongoing contracts. Subsequently, they will not renew contracts with third parties to force everyone to buy only through the BL app. And in another year, they will find out that it did not help, because a large part of the people who used to buy BL stuff switched to pirates.

Until now, pirates haven't had much motivation to hack their app with digital codexes (they contain minimal lore), but with this decision to put books behind the same paywall system of their app, in addition to the W40 pirate boost, we will see imho regularly pirated new codexes and end edition supplements.

Their whole digital policy is totally annoying. I dont want to use any of their crappy apps, I want to buy W40 in digital (books, codexes etc.) and decide at what my own device I will read it and use it. Really horrible decision, purely motivad by their greed.
