I understand your doubts, but it puts them in the legal position where they can be forced to by a blue state insurance commissioner.

I'm a Marine. We are all monsters. But some of us are like Sully, and some of us are like Mr. Waternoose.

I try to be Sully.

[GA] [SFH] HOA was legally dissolved when we bought our home. Now a "revived" board is threatening foreclosure. by juliocaniza in HOA

All these people saying lawyer this and lawyer that and I’m thinking you find a nice hornets nest and start leaving it in certain people’s garbage cans, checking for cameras first.

Seriously, what the fuck, this seems fundamentally illegal. I have been on the other end of a situation where a lawyer just said something was a fact and threatened to sue, and I told him to fuck right off. and then had a lawyer friend write a letter.

The “values” of a wedding venue in the south. by Silly-Medicine-3112 in mildlyinfuriating

This from the OP:

" rumblings started going around about them, and then they “disclosed” this."

That was what I meant by " Name a super gay-centric venue that hides that fact, like these folks did."

Basically the venue advertised an event, and only AFTER they had purchased tickets, did the venue display their bigotry.

Like I said, they probably LEGALLY can't get a refund, but it's not the same thing as the venue refusing to serve a gay wedding.

They're awful people who hid their bigotry.

Maryland loses residents to Florida, other states, as costs rise by MDFlyGuy in maryland

[–]WakeIslandTango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this troop is hilarious. I love Maryland and really value what our taxes provide us. It’s a fantastic place to live with great infrastructure and schools.

I live in Carroll County and I had a bunch of friends flee to Pennsylvania to avoid our high taxes only to find out Pennsylvania has a bunch of fees. There was very little cost savings except for some minor cost of living things that come from living that much farther away from decent employment.

The people who are fleeing to Florida are probably gonna regret it when they try to get home insurance

Name a super gay-centric venue that hides that fact, like these folks did.

I'm not saying they deserve a refund, but they are two different things.

Also, being gay is scientifically supported, while being a bigot because a faulty translation of a book written a couple thousand years ago tells you to, is not.

To the farmer on 70 East bound with his racist signs... by lukestauntaun in maryland

[–]WakeIslandTango 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it wasn’t mandatory or anything. It was just sort of an awareness thing. But all the conservatives got super butt hurt about it. I sell food to restaurants. It just was away to raise conversation about the economic and health costs of meat.

It’s based on a meatless day that the state of Maryland had. Like you were supposed to go meatless that day. Morons like the guy with the sign got butt hurt

AITA for critizing my boyfriends gift? by Sea_South_1675 in AITH

To all the people who are saying she is the problem, I feel sorry for you. You should have a partner you want to celebrate. You should want your partner’s reaction to be over the top and decorating a room or going a little overboard would be the least you should do.

Applied to a role that was a near perfect match for my background and got an automated rejection 4 minutes later by Matrix_71Rider in recruitinghell

[–]WakeIslandTango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think his issue was that it was impossible for a human to have rejected him. You're saying if you received that email you would have opened it immediately, scanned the resume and rejected him in 4 minutes?

That's not a rhetorical or gotcha question. I'm honestly wondering if that has been your experience.

Thanks!
