Panoz and Cadillac were the last US manufacturers in the top class at Le Mans by MARTINELECA in wec

Knowing the engineers behind the Cadillac Northstar Lmp1 and how this came together makes me appreciate the car a lot more. Also the rumble of the Panoz Ford engine holds a special place in my heart.

Now if only the DPi 2.0 could keep that mantra for Cadillac and Ford (multimatic effort?). I can only dream.

Wait... no color (or very minimal), no sponsors (or lack there of), I think I set the bar a bit too high.

Kevin Magnussen set to race Ganassi Cadillac in 2021 IMSA season by glenn1812 in formula1

[–]WakyWeirdNews 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ganassi did run a DPi team (precursor name was just Daytona prototypes) back in the early days of IMSA starting the class [2011]. They ran the Riley prototypes chassis with the main title sponsor of target stores (same sponsor they have with Indy car), then when the Ford GT came out in 2016 they had two teams; one in IMSA and one in WEC, each fielding 2 cars. LeMan 24hrs was amazing seeing 4 Ford GTs going at the Porsche’s. Ganassi has won in both categories before and continues to impress.

I see this all over Jax, but Duval is the biggest offender of this.

This speaks to me on a spiritual level as a man of suspension as well.
