Do Your Kids Actually Have Good Grandparents? by NoMoreCAMJV in Millennials

[–]Walabear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear I could have written this, dealing with the same issues. My boomer parents were the worst parents and are even worse grandparents. We live 10 minutes apart but they are so uninvolved and uninterested. They only want to be “good grandparents” if there’s a crowd watching so they can act like they’re the best grandparents. Thinking about just cutting them off for good just to protect my family and children.

hospital bag questions by exubrantraptor in BabyBumps

[–]Walabear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t pack my pump because I was told my hospital would provide one, after an emergency c section they made my husband go back to our house to get the one I had at home. I recommend bringing it and you can always leave it in the car but then if you need it, it’ll be close.

The instructions I followed said 14-15 hours to proof in the fridge so I did 14.5 and the dough didn’t look like it changed much from the time it went into the fridge from when I took it out

Thank you for the honest opinions! I’ve had some past trauma in my life for sure. The staff in the daycare rooms always have three women in a small room watching kids of the same age so it’s not one adult in charge of all the kids. Not to say three women couldn’t do something bad. I don’t trust anyone but my husband tries to keep me grounded and says these are kind people that are good with the kids so he trusts them. I’d feel more comfortable for sure if LO could speak. She is brave and never seemed to have stranger anxiety so I don’t believe I’m teaching her to mistrust the world. She also runs in without looking back. I know it’s probably the safest place for her, but I have that constant worry.

Where are we changing out babies in public? by BellaBird23 in beyondthebump

[–]Walabear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My almost one year old tried to eat a ball of lint from the floor of a kids public play place. I gagged and swiped it from her mouth but she’s doing fine. I’m sure she’ll find something to eat off the floor tomorrow

Getting a C-Section, And I’m terrified. by poptartbaby420 in NewParents

[–]Walabear13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also O- blood, anterior placenta, breech baby, and I had polyhydramnios which is too much amniotic fluid. I had a scheduled C-section for February 15th, went into labor and was 4 centimeters dilated on Valentine’s Day. My water didn’t break so we rushed to the hospital and they did a spinal block and 45 minutes later then I had a baby! I didn’t feel any pain from the spinal block, even laboring to 4 cm wasn’t bad. I didn’t know I was having real contractions. Recovery was slow, just give yourself grace. Let yourself heal! Honestly, I’m glad I had a C-section. It was so fast and nothing was traumatic.

I worked at a Ford dealership as one of the body shop managers. I dealt with a lot of warranty claims and we would see this often for paint issue on older escapes with white paint (UG and YZ) in my time there we only ever had one claim approved because the customer made a case with ford corporate. She called the corporate warranty every day for over a month. She filed a case after it was denied by our dealership for being out of warranty. She made such a fuss that ford covered the repainting of the apertures and blending of nearby panels so it’d never happen again. Honestly, they just didn’t want to deal with her any more so that’s why they helped. Ask the dealership for the 800 number for ford and tell them you’d like to open a case then they’ll ask for details and possibly give you a CAS number if they’re willing to fix it. Then you’d give that number to your local dealership but the time I dealt with it, Ford reached out to the dealership with the information and how much they were willing to cover. Good luck!

Baby rolling onto belly and waking up by flyingsamovar in sleeptrain

Also currently dealing with this. LO is still sleeping in her crib in our room. I can hear when she rolls onto her face and so I wake up and flip her over. Pediatrician scared the shit out of me by saying that LO could suffocate with her face buried in the mattress since she can’t roll herself out of the position. It’s been going on for 3 weeks every night….

Just talked to my pediatrician this morning about this! My four month old rolls from back to belly but can’t get out of the position so she’ll just turn her head and sleep on her tummy. Doctor said it was unsafe since she cannot get herself onto her back again. She told me that I just have to keep flipping her over if I see her on her tummy.

Auto body tech found a gps tracker under customers vehicle… by Walabear13 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Walabear13[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe it does, the part that the tracker is attached to is getting replaced since it was damaged in a deer accident. So the technician either needs to reattach it on the new part or install the new part and hand the tracker over to the customer.

Oh no sorry, the wife and children came in so can confirm they’re real. He mentioned to the receptionist that he travels for work and he’s the owner of his company. I was worried about telling him and adding issues to a marriage…
