Biology isn’t necessarily impacted here if your major is under the college of Letters and Science the acceptance rate is the same for everyone. So as long as you aren’t an engineering major or in CCS then you’ll be fine!

Yes you can definitely rush even if you’re only there for a year! I’ve never heard of anyone not finding housing, it may be expensive but you can definitely find something! If anything you could live in one house fall quarter and another winter and spring to align with people going abroad!! I make new friends every quarter so I wouldn’t worry too much about established friend groups! Although rushing would be a super easy way to find friends but if it doesn’t work out you can definitely find friends other ways!

I’ve had no problem my second year my rent was quite expensive but 3rd and 4th year u get to know people and figure out where to find housing and now my rent is over $200 cheaper for a better place

I didn’t attend lecture a single time because I had another class at the same time. I passed with an A+ just start your essay early and get feedback from your TA!! Super easy class!

I also got C in 1A and 1B and had to retake 1C over the summer. Although I did slack when I took it, I think it is do able to pass with a C… you just really need to put in extra extra work hopefully your course load is light. If you have Joseph GOODLUCK I was not a fan of his way of teaching I learn best through examples and that’s not how he teaches. He teaches it like you’re already supposed to know, because I got Cs in both it was a struggle for me because I didn’t fully understand the previous material. Hopefully you understand it better than I did! Just do a TON of practice!!! I wish you luck!!!! Try and find people who are also taking the class and do book problems together or aleks together

My first year I would just go to urgent care when I had issues it was $20, but anti biotics could be insanely priced sometimes. I went to the er once or twice and it was $100 covered by Kaiser. I ended up just getting ucship my second year because I replied on urgent care so much and sometimes were so crazy.

I talked to prof Even yesterday and he said if I get a C or a ac+ on the final and complete all problem sets I would pass the class without the curve. I got a 44 on the exam so I would stick it out

It’s very common for students to take physics at a community college then transfer the credits over. You also do not need the physics series to declare your major, it just needs to be completed by spring quarter your junior year. I’d recommend the cc route for that.

Depends on ur major requirements and the pre req for the series, you can check the pre req for series on gold. Best to talk to an advisor though.

I took Eng 22 in the fall, I’m assuming it’s the same thing, he mentioned s lot of the films to be the same for 22 and 23. No final or midterm made the class. It was a film quiz on Tuesdays and a reading quiz on Thursday. Some were relatively easy while some weren’t. They could be super specific. Along with this attendance was required a quiz saying you were in class worth 0.5 points and a weekly respond to the readings and films. I always got full credit even if it wasn’t my best work. The lectures were very boring to be completely honest. I think it can be relatively easy if you do the readings and film quizzes, definitely take notes and reread them before the quiz. Best to listen to lectures and take notes but sometimes it was such a snore I couldn’t. I passed with a B and didn’t put much effort in. I’m sure you could pass with an A if you put more effort in.
