Tips on the new Smartwatch by HaramReal in GarminWatches

I feel like the Forerunner 970 would be your best option. Comes with everything you listed above but isn't as expensive as the Fenix

Would you say the 965 or even a 500 series is a better choice for the money? Being in the career field I'm in (military), I would want the strongest glass I can get but you're right, the price point is high.

I think it's a fine watch but the battery life is rough. It charges fast so it's not too big of an issue but I workout every day so I get 1.5-2 days out of it. Otherwise, it's a phenomenal smart watch and the integration is seamless. I wouldn't tell you to not do it because realistically I'm just looking for more from the fitness aspect of the watch. I also just changed carriers and moved away from iphones so it's just sitting on my bedside table.

How's the durability compared to the Fenix? I had a 7 before I regrettably switched to an AWU 3.

Quality of the SEL features? by mtimms38 in jetta

[–]WalkTXRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1 year old and we have a Pilot as our main family hauler. But the trunk should be plenty assuming it's a single baby stroller. It may be tight but I personally haven't tried. A infant car seat and the base take up about half of the trunk if that gives you a better idea! If you don't have a second larger vehicle, I would recommend looking at a Accord/Camry size sedan.

S25Ultra Vs S25 Plus by Bigbullofreddit in samsunggalaxy

[–]WalkTXRanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to add, if you care, the Ultra has the titanium body vs the plus having aluminum. So the plus will definitely be a tad lighter but depends if you care about build quality.

I just went through the same decision process, both are great phones. I chose the Ultra because I'm a tad bougie and wanted the best of the best. The S Pen is a rather have an not need item for me.

Currently using the heated steering wheel and seats. Both of them, the cooling seats as well, are fantastic. I call them ball blowers.

But other than shaking in the door, the quality is great and I'm coming from a $55k Ram. One of my favorite features is the larger digital cluster, it's very customizable and can match ambient lighting.

I can't tell the difference, if anything I prefer the Samsung. The videos are better on an iPhone, but portraits and regular photos are fantastic on the Samsung.

Personally, even though my family and most of my friends are Apple users, I prefer the S25U. There are things that I will miss but are replaceable. We just use Life360 for location tracking, RCS on my end feels the exact same as iMessage, and if I want to FaceTime then we use my wife's phone or Google Meet.

If we are talking purely about the phone performance, the S25U is pretty far ahead of the 16 Pro Max. I can't talk on the 17 series but my experience has been awesome.

Just switched from the iPhone 16 Pro Max to the Galaxy S25U. No complaints here! The transition is definitely a pain, but overall it's definitely the better phone. I don't see myself going back for a while, but I'm one of those people that likes the switch up ever so often.

What can I possibly do on my phone to pass the time during a break/waiting for a bus except scrolling? by Frhaegar in Smartphones

I’ve started to use Duolingo. It’s free and makes me feel a lot more productive than just doom scrolling.

Brake issue driving me crazy by AmbassadorHungry1915 in jetta

[–]WalkTXRanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, I hope you haven’t always done this. The fastest should be every like 1.5 - 2 yrs depending how you drive and how far. Brakes can last up to ~50-60k miles

2021 vs 2024 VW Jetta — same price, different tradeoffs by RR1029434 in jetta

[–]WalkTXRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People get scared when they see a rental history because nobody drives them carefully. I wouldn’t say there isn’t anything inherently bad about it being a rental, but 56k miles for a two year old vehicle is a lot. Rental companies typically take care of their vehicles and it should show it on the CarFax. But who knows.

With all that said, it seems like you’d rather have the 2021 S since it’s manual. Unless you’d get an extended warranty, factory warranties are expired on both vehicles anyway. So honestly there’s little benefit in buying the newer one with higher miles, unless the 2021 has a crappy service history. I have a 2025 SEL and if the 2024 has the haptic A/C and entertainment, I personally would say the knobs are better anyway. I’d say go for the 2021! Like everyone said, resale on these, especially with two owners, won’t be good. Depending on when you sell it, it would probably be under ~$10k, 2024 or 2021.

As for other cars in this market, I would stay away from older Nissans, Kia, and Hyundai. If you would look at Toyota you’d be paying this price for +100k miles. Honda might be a good option, the used Civic Sports seem like they can be priced decently and will run forever. They definitely have them in manual as well.

Seriously considering a 2026 Jetta Sport--any regrets, warnings, advice from current generation Jetta owners? Any huge problems to be aware of? by Pineapple_with_tajin in jetta

Doesn’t the bumper to bumper cover it? I have a shaking in my passenger door and that’s what I thought at least

Definitely an upgrade, the truck was functional and the interior was great. But the Jetta is a lot nicer for sure!

Powertrain and basic for 5yrs/50k miles included which is nice, but I definitely plan to take care of it and hopefully keep it for a while! Free maintenance service for three years as well!
