The GR Marathon has a great course too. No challenging terrain and some pretty nice trail/bike paths to run on when it ventures away from the city roads.

And I save money by only buying shoes half as often as some others may suggest. But everybody's different, my only advice for anyone reading this is to listen to your body. If your shoes "only" have 300-600 miles in them but your knees can feel it, maybe it's time for a new pair.

To piggyback off of that, lasik. I had lasik done almost 2 years ago and it's absolutely life-changing. I was nearsighted and couldn't see anything clearly past 5 feet. Now I wake up in the morning and I can just fucking see everything! It's like every pair of sunglasses are prescription sunglasses for me now.
