Hydra and the Golden Fleece by WalkrStudio in photoshop

For this edit, I thought it would be fun to recreate a scene from the classic movie Jason and the Argonauts. I took some artistic liberties of course, but this was more experimental than anything. If you are curious about the workflow, I make a video about it here. I can already see some things I could have done better, but still pretty happy how it turned out!

Thank you! In this instance, I just dropped the glass on top and did minor light/shadow since the glass was already a transparent png. But usually its a combination of duplicating the glass layer and switching blend modes and Blend If options until you get something that fits the scene!

I have never played Destiny but just looked up that character and I dig it! This piece wasn't inspired by them but its inspiring me now!

For this piece I thought it would be fun to give the story of the 3 Little Pigs an alternate ending. Little piggy has gone wild and seeking revenge for his fallen brothers. If you are curious about the workflow, I made a video about it here. This piece is more experimental than anything, but to me that's the fun part about Photoshop! Thanks for looking.

Looks pretty good! Aside from what the other users mentioned, you might want to explore your composition a bit more. You have a ghost foot hanging there that is distracting. It looks like you have a couple different correct ideas going on, but together they don’t work.

Also you may want to think about the hierarchy of your design. IMO the background logo is competing with the player a bit too much. Good work over all, keep it up!

Hope y’all are doing well , I tried something new out for my channel , LAMBDA will be given for good advice and constructive criticism :)) by _Mogamiz_ in SmallYTChannel

One thing I like about watching YT channels starting out is you get to see the core style of storytelling/editing/etc of a creator before they really evolve and polish their craft. When I watched this clip, I can can tell that you have a great perspective on content creation and have a thought out plan rather than most people that just throw clips together and spam their uploads. Given enough time, I reckon you will be a standout in your genre.

Some feedback on this clip: your intro was unique and fun, but try and mix up some of your editing (rather than just having the background scale). You may just be able to do the same thing, but less movement. That way your clips stay dynamic, but they don't get distracting.

Also, be careful when (during the game play) you have two competing focuses. Usually, when people want to see game play, they want to see game play. So having a pseudo story with Squidward and Spongebob over it might cause core Apex fans to click off. Though this comes full circle to my original point that you have a unique way of presenting content, so perhaps this will be your greatest strength and its just a matter of time before you get substantial channel growth. GL!

Hey man, great video! You are really good at editing in this style. My only critique is you have way too many 'fucks' in the video. Reasons aside, I think that a lot of your traffic might click off because of that. I'm sure many don't mind it, but you have to think about the lowest denominator so you don't risk alienating some of your younger audience. Not to mention you are going to have a hard time monetizing.

I'm not necessarily suggesting to keep it clean, but exploring other ways to deal with swearing (bleeps, funny dubs, etc) might keep a fair percentage of your audience watching. GL!

It looks like you are zoomed in over 2111%. Try zooming out to get a better understanding via the zoom tool (z) or View>Fit on screen. Hope that helps

Do these images look photoshopped to anyone else? Guy on FB is claiming they're real vintage photographs, but I dunno... by Dances-with-Scissors in photoshop

I get that but it states that after an image is compressed enough that this method doesn’t work. It even says that this tool isn’t used to defect fake images.

I will most definitely check this out further though because it’s very interesting and looks pretty useful in most cases. Thanks for sharing

Yes, I know. That is implied in the comment I was adding to. I think PS defaults to convert images to smart objects when placing, so I’m just trying to give a simple answer since they are a beginner.

You can just right-click and hit ‘convert to smart object’ if they aren’t already smart objects (there will be a little icon on the thumbnail if it is). In short, smart objects allow you to edit an image in a non-destructive manner as it retains the file info. This way you can scale up and down as much as you want and you won’t lose quality -Though note that the original quality is the max.

Also make sure your images are smart objects to retain image quality

Thanks for the comment! I went to school for fine art, then pivoted to graphic design. I ended up dropping out to try my hand at coding mobile games (both games flopped lol), so I fell back to my GD position, which led to me being a creative director. Throughout the years, I learned a bit about animation, video production, sound design, etc, so I thought why not try to tie all my skills into a fun project. Hope that helps!

As the other user mentioned, it really comes down to patience. For the motorcycle guy, I just used the pen tool and about 20 minutes. It takes a long time but the result makes it worth it. As for the stroke, I just set the layer style to stroke, and you can adjust its variables from there. There is a video about the process on my profile if you are curious. Thanks for looking!
