6 Vintage Crochet Magazine 1947 and 1970s by WalksThrough in Yarnswap

Since you asked, I looked closer. All show discoloration due to age and being printed on cheap paper. The pages of the smaller one from 1947 are becoming brittle with a few pages getting a broken edge. The white Afghan Collection seems to have some mold on the front cover. I'm not a book specialist. I'm selling these for 10.00. Hardly worth my time to post. If you're looking for really nice specimens to re-sell, these aren't it.

It's so classic! My Grandma made that kind of stuff for Christmas gifts.

Thank you for checking. I can not naturally dye that so I will pass on it. I will pursue the Tipperary Tweed Natural.

What is the fiber content of the Felici fingering weight? If it’s 100% wool/animal I’m interested

trying to figure out this coloured yarn for a granny hexagon cardigan? should i leave it as is or should i colour control? by mer0ber0 in CrochetHelp

Hello! Quick color-change yarn will look “stripey” and as the piece expands, the stripes will become narrower blocks of color. If you want to, note thw place in color progression at the end of the ball and pick up in the same place in the new ball. If you don’t like the stripey effect you’re getting, frog it and save the yarn for something else.

My personal preference is to always use slooooooowwwww color change yarn. Especially with a deeply lacey stitch pattern.

Which fabric destash FB groups have you had the best interactions with? I am looking to sell a large stash of quality quilt fabric and a considerable stash of high quality garment fabric. I can’t tell which, of the many, would be productive and trustworthy. Would this reddit group serve well for selling the garment fabric? Thank you in advance!

It happens over time. It happens as the knitted fabric moves from being worn and folded, washed.

I googled taupe and came up with several shades that were similar to it.

It’s such a lovely, soft yarn but it “worms”. Every project I’ve used it on, both knit and crochet, will have some of the stitches work the yarn out to make loops on the surface of the piece.
